I've cruised twice (HAL Zaandam & Sea Princess) - and I'm going on my 3rd and 4th next year. I count down the seconds until I'm on the seas again...

I will never forget my first view of a Caribbean beach with it's white powder sand, aquamarine water and palm trees. The transit of the Panama Canal, cruising around the Islands of Hawaii, the rugged beauty of Alaska. I love shipboard life - the activities, entertainment, food and quiet times with a good book. Due to health reasons we can no longer take the active holidays that we used to so cruising is perfect for us.
I am looking for a good cruise for 2006 - would love to hear other's experiences with cruise lines and destinations.

Believe me, I went on the Disney Wonder in Nov 2002 and I still have not stopped talking about it. Most of the people I talked to on the cruise said I had started with the top of the cruise line and nothing else will compare. Is this true? I heard Carnival is a party ship. Party is good. Guys, do I just wait to see if someone pops into our topic? How do I see if someone has come into the chat?

Sorry I am confused.

Carnival's reputation as a party ship has hung on to them for years, however, if you read Anne Campbell's reviews (owner of this site) you'll discover that Carnival has focused their efforts on fine dining, everlasting entertainment, and family atmosphere.

If you look at the big picture you can see that the only reason a company becomes the largest in the industry is because they offer a product which sells, and meets the consumer's expectations.

Personally, I wouldn't take a Disney cruise because I think they are overpriced and, for sure, they don't have casinos. This is one of my favorite past times on the ship.

They all have a great sense of humor, but know when to be serious. I'm getting ready for my first and feel like you all have help already so much with all your advise.

When I first tried Cruisemates I came in on the Gripes board and after a couple of weeks I was frantically looking for a way to unsubscribe and accidentally found this one. What a nice bunch you are - no slamming - just lots of fun. I have added this to my favourites and will be reading daily even if I don't post.

I'm sorta new, but haven't been too shy about posting when I feel like it. I'm a little shyer in the chat room but am perfectly happy to sit back and watch while the veterans discuss things. I learn a lot that way.

I've had to take a few days off from both the boards and chat because a friend of mine was killed in an accident and I am not feeling too chatty lately. Will be back soon though and will probably make everyone tired of me after awhile, lol.

This is totally new to me. I've been lurking around since we returned from our cruise on the Celebration, July 16, -21, but like Diana, I'm a little shy. Though shy has never been a word used to describe me!

We are already talking about taking another cruise ASAP! Loved it, didn't want to come
get off the ship.

Would like to hear about other ships that are fun and family friendly. Has to have a
Casino though, Daddy loves Blackjack.
