You Know You are in ARizona in July When...

Here's a cute one for those of you living in Arizona, Florida, or pretty much anywhere (Montreal included) suffering from the extreme heat this summer!

YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN ARIZONA IN JULY WHEN. . . .

The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.

The trees are whistling for the dogs.

The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.

Hot water now comes out of both taps.

You can make sun tea instantly.

You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron!

The temperature drops below 95 and you feel a little chilly.

You discover that in July it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.

You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.

You actually burn your hand opening the car door.

You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at
5:30 A.M.

Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"

You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.

The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out, wash it and add butter, salt and pepper.

Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.

The cows are giving evaporated milk.

Ahhhhhh, what a place to call home!

It makes me appreciate the Canadian Atlantic Coast a lot more. We only get 2 - 3 weeks of un-bearable heat which is more than enough for me.

So true.

I grew up in Phoenix, where a six inch rain is when the drops land six inches apart, same for 4 and 5, etc.

Stick weather is when the horned toads and Gila monsters carry sticks to stick into the ground and climb up off the hot sand.

So true to a point. What you posted RD relates to AZ for those who live in the Valley, like dezertcruzer and others who have lived in Phoenix or relatives living in Tucson.

Here in Rim Country it's better most of the time because of our elevation of 5,000 ft. We do get triple digit temps once in awhile during the Summer but most of time our hottest weather stays in the high 90's.

Just had a super thunderstorm with lots of lighting and rain. Temps. are down to a cool 64 as I post this message. <VBG>

Have a good rest of the day.
