For those considering the CM New Years Party of the Century

The link above is to the article I wrote when I was in Miami for the announcement of the ship's reconstruction, and my cruise on her immediately afterwards. It gives some insight to the changes they are making to the ship.

The picture below is of Deitmar Wertanzel, VP of fleet operations, after learning that Mike and I would be occupying aft cabins in the new section, explaining to the engineers that they are going to have to reinforce the hull in that area, and add balast.

I booked my reservation this morning....If we ALL come visit these aft cabins..the back of the ship could fall off!:):):)

As long as we don't regress and go back to our previous weights they will be OK with current engineering specifications. <VBG>

If we do slip then the folks in the forward sections will be walking uphill. <VBG>

Kuki, I hope that Nancy Bogart is right, that at some point, somebody who knows Miami will find everyone a nifty hotel so we can all be together for dinner or a cocktail party, or both:):):)

Judy.. NO DOUBT there will be a pre cruise get together in Miami, for dinner and cocktails.

As for hotels.... as it gets closer I'll be trying Priceline. Once I get a hotel and bid accepted I'll certainly post the details so that everyone who wants to can bid as well.
