I just bought old fashioned double edge razor....holy cow wh

I ordered on barbershop.com the old kinda razor that takes double edge blade. I am 55 and thats what we women used back in the old days. Well let me tell you....what a close shave on my legs I got! Unbelievable compared to the razors with the cream and three blades etc......
So far I have counted 38 cuts on my lets!!!!
I had my husband try it and the first swipe he did he cut his face!!

But what a close shave...
Guess I got to try again and condition my skin to get use to it....but right now I sit with toilet paper all over my legs! But it sure was a close shave nothing compared to disposables.

I have an old fashioned straight edge razor that use to shave with. Itt gives an extremely close shave but you really have to know what you are doing. It also comes in handy in a street fight. <VBG>

I did that the very first time I shaved my legs - in 7th grade. What a mess. Blood kept running down my legs off and on all day (why wouldn't it w/ 35 gashes - and I have blood that doesn't really clot very well). Of course I went to Catholic School - the nurse was a Nun, Sister Andre, and boy was she mad. So was my father when he found out I dulled his razor. After that I used the disposable kind. I still have a couple of scars from it.

I've got one of those too, but I don't put any blades in it. I call it a "Chicken Schick".
