luvs2cruise2,
We were just there in May off the Radiance for its repositioning cruise. There is only room for 1 cruise ship to dock and even though we arrived 2 hours before HAL we had to tender in. It's a quaint little US town. We were greeted by some young ladies all dressed up with tiaras on. Some thought it might be the local high school's Prom Queen and court. I read somewhere that at the other dock, the local hight school band preforms when they leave. Our "tour" bus was a school bus. The people there are VERY proud of their town. We did the city/Fort Calsop tour, seeing the fort and a lookout point with the "column". There is a great Maritime museum at our dock as well as local vendors with unique items.

We loved the ship so much we looked into booking Alaska on her next year but I got laid off and not knowing if and when I will get vacation with a new job we decided to do Alaska now so....we are going in 3 weeks on the Radiance. Just by chance, there are 2 or 3 others who sailed 3 with us in May on this cruise too. She is a nice size ship for us. The repositioning cruise was wonderful. We had never done anything like it before. Sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge tiwce was awesome. We also stopped in San Francisco and Victoria, BC, ending in Vancouver. We spent 2 days there and loved it also and look forward to seeing it in a few weeks.
