I am VERY excited about this cruise. I had to jump through a couple of big hoops before Betty and I could get the OK's to go and it's all set.
We are looking forward to seeing many wonderful Cruisemates onboard the Statendam and sharing some of the most exotic places in the world. Beijing, with a fairly short trip to the Great Wall plus the Forbidden City, the shopping of Hong Kong and Shang Hai with their markets and beautiful architecture. Each of these have overnight stays to afford you the luxury of overnight excursions or to truly enjoy all these cities have to offer.
This IS the cruise of a lifetime!!
It almost makes me wish I wasn't leaving in 18 hours so I could talk it about this and the Century for the next 18 days.

Boy oh Boy!!!! Jake would love to do this cruise, and with Mike as the host, I would probably even dare to venture into some real different cultural experinces. With the Canal cruise on the books and the New Year's one, we will have to let this wonderful opportunity pass by.
