I save ones I find on the net to my own website. Then I link to them using my own servers bandwith.
I also use SmilieworX for my smilies! I have told quite a few people about it. Instead of just having a random few smilies, this has tons more!
The SmilieWorx software places almost 750 freely available smilie graphics at your fingertips while hosting them on THEIR servers (with their blessings!). To place one into your message posts, simply click on the smilie of your liking and the UBB code for that smilie is placed into your system clipboard, waiting to be pasted where ever you need it. If 750 smiles aren't enough, then use the SmilieWorX built in database for the remotely hosted images of your choice. This saves a ton of time. Initially, as you save your own gifs and smilies to it, you have to go through the long process. Once they are there, you just click on the one you want, and then go to your message and either use ctrl and the letter V to paste or just right click and paste. Just enter the URL of the graphics you wish to track into the included database, and then simply call them up at will any time you need them, right from your desktop, complete with a real time preview and SmilieWorX does the grunt work for those as well.
And finally, they have included a UBB Coding Wizard for use with those forums that do not format the code FOR you. Simply cut the text you wish to format into your system clipboard and click the desired operation (such as Bold, Italicize, Underline....) and the formatted text is returned to your system clipboard for your use. And best of all, the SmilieWorx software and system are completely free. SmilieWorX is compatible with all Windows Operating Systems.
