Default Truth is stranger. . .

For the "I can't believe these people could earn the cruise fare" file:

We just returned from a two-week cruise on the Golden Princess, visiting Europe, the British Isles and crossing to New York. I promise you the following story is true.

It was the 13th day of this 14 day cruise. I boarded one of the glass elevators to go up to the pool deck. Already on the elevator was another couple, middle-aged. As the elevator popped up out of the darkness to the full sunlight of Deck 14, the wife stared out of the glass bubble, blinked in the sunlight, and said to her husband:

"This ship has a POOL on it!" Hubby expressed similar amazement and off they went to explore their new discovery.

Unreal.

Are you sure they weren't middle-aged honeymooners, AR? It sounds like they hadn't had much time or incentive to explore the ship during that 13-day period. Maybe they had better things to do.lol

AR,

That is great, I probably would have asked where they had been for the last thirteen days!!

Jack,

You could be right, but my last cruise was my honeymoon, I at least went out there and explored!! I paid darn good money for that pool!

I believe it. I have been asked directions major locations on the ship a week or more into every cruise I have been on.

I always check out the locations of everything on the ship in the first 30 minutes and then head for the food , or is it the other way around?

Could it be they were putting you on to see your reaction?

BW--

I considered that, but I've been around actors all my life and can usually spot a put-on, even a good one. I really don't think this was the case, although there's always that possibility. If it was, they pulled it off extremely well.

Are you sure you didn't mean to say, "This ship has a FOOL on it?"
