I have posted some photos in the Personal Gallery of our new "Caribbean - themed" bedroom It is still in the process of new decor, but here is what we have so far: Painted a vibrant Caribbean turquoise blue, with purple trim. Very bright and colourful new bedding, carpets, night tables, curtains, "tiki-lights", and I'm working on a set of matching frame arrangement of favourite cruising photos. I will post those when I get them done. Still one wall not done, as I haven't found the right furniture yet.
Yes, we have the Caribbean-cruising bug BAD!!
RD, i think it's beautiful. It reminds me of when I was still living with my parents and went to Mardi Gras for the first time. I came home and painted my room- 2 walls green-2 walls dark purple and the ceiling was goldenrod yellow. I had all of the beads and masks and souviniers hanging all over the room. I wouldn't let my mom see it until i finished. Boy was she a tad bit upset. after I moved out she tried to repaint it. It took 2 gallons of primer to cover it and still 3 gallons of paint.. it's not that big a room.. lol.. I loved it.. still have the comforter that I got that matched PERFECTLY!

Wow, Donna, you need to get out more in those cold Canadian winters. That is one bright and colorful room. Next piece of construction should be a 3 or4 inch high step up to the bathroom so you can feel like you are on a ship (along with halving the size of your existing shower).
