I believe the pin in question is being marketed by QVC. They say that $8 of the $16 for each pin is being donated and that over $300,000 has been donated through sales as of 4 am this morning. QVC has also stated in the presentation that they are not making money on this pin. QVC is also matching donations from their vendors who donate part of their sales to the Red Cross. I would check out facts before jumping to hasty conclusions.

There is so much of this already starting! Our Atty. General in Arkansas has already put out "scam" warnings and is monitoring the price of gasoline. I agree with Y2C, this is ridiculous!
I do understand the "Hollywood" moguls making movies about this disaster. That's nothing new. But anyone looking to profit ($10.00 bags of ice, for instance) should be prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law.
I just hope that the Attys. General in every state are watching for these scams!
