Ophelia is indeed a Greek name, but I'm not aware of any goddess bearing that name. My thoughts of "Ophelia" relate mostly to the Shakespearean character in Hamlet, the young woman who was loved by Hamlet but abused by family members incestually. That Ophelia eventually went mad, and drowned (possibly a suicide). So you're right about the death by drowning, but I don't think that there's a mythology link to the name.
My son is going to see his friends who are putting on the play Hamlet. Yesterday, Hamlet fell and broke his foot, now, his understudy has to go on. When my son was telling me about Ophelia, who is his age, he had that look in his eye. You know the one I'm talking about. lol The storm will go away, but ours might start calling the house a lot. lol
