When the little square comes up on the left of the screenwith your user name and location comes up, the date is incorrect. It should say 2003, and I do not remember the day. Can I change it to say 2003 only? If so, how do I do it?

Thanks!

Judy

Judy,

Sorry but it can't.

I noticed on the old boards that you always posted as an unregistered user. That was your prerogative. With the new boards registration is required.

If you notice it says that I have only been around since 2004 and only have 2000 + posts. That is actually incorrect. I have been here since 2000. I accidentally wiped myself out in 2004 while trying to figure out a user problem and had to re-register. I can't change it to put it back to 2000.

All of my posts prior to 2004 were also wiped out. That could have been looked on as a good thing.

Take care,
Mike

I'm still fighting with the !@#$ Profile thingee to post an avatar. Before this, I didn't even know what an avatar was. Kuki hleped me to "downsize" the picture, but it still will not take because it says it is not a jpg, when I know that it is. I don't know what else to do except SCREAM at the computer!

donna ( who at least has figured out the bold and the colour!!

Donna, you're way ahead of me. I still don't know what an avatar is. You know about Keith's problems; he doesn't know what it is, either, so I can't rely on him for answers. Hope people don'd get impatient with me .

An avatar is a fancy name for a picture. It can be a photograph or a cartoon type of picture. It gets more technical but that's a good overall way to think about it.

The avatar has to be of type that is a .jpg or .gif. That will be the extension on the end of the name of the file. mypicture.jpg

Take care,
Mike
