Default Blondie and Dagwood on a cruise!

Has anybody been following the Blondie and Dagwood comic strip this week? They are celebrating their 75th anniversary (the comic strip, not the marriage!) by taking their first cruise. It's been pretty funny so far!
If you don't normally read the funny pages, check it out!

Donna,

I couldn't believe it when I saw the size of your font. It's great! I've been having trouble reading many of the posts (black print on dark gray background), but yours I can actually read easily. And the purple color that you use for your /s/ is easy on my eyes too.

It's strange, because when Carole posts in a different shade of purple, I can't read her posts without getting a bad case of eye strain. I also have trouble reading posts in red or blue. Funny, isn't it? (No offense intended, Carole or other posters...it's not your fault). Can I possibly be getting older? Anyway, RD, many thanks for "making my day".

Btw, I tried to post in the "large" font here, but obviously it didn't take. The story of my life.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was excited that Blondie and Dagwood were on a cruise. (okay, maybe not truly excited but interested!)
Their cabin looks relatively big!

I've always been a comics fan, and Blondie is one of my favorites. I loved the evac. drill the other day.

Now I've got to find the paper and see what's up for today.

Jack, I too have a hard time reading the little posts, and I'm alot younger than you. I tried just clicking on "large" but it didn't work. You have to highlight your whole text after you've written it, then click on "large" and voila!

RD,
You beat me to it.. I have been reading " Blondie " for the past several days following their cruise and this morning I wondered why no one had mentioned this. I don't know if everyone gets the same cartoon on the same day but this morning's about getting invited to the Captain's table was priceless !

Donna,

First, I should tell you that I've been a big fan of Dag & Blondie for years. Today's episode is a hoot! They get an invitation to sit at the captain's table, but it's not from the captain. It's from their own tablemates.

Anyway, thanks for the tip on font enlargement. Unfortunately, I had a problem when I tried it and that's another story. But when you said to "highlight" the text, it gave me an idea (and incredibly solved another problem I'd been having).

As you know, I've been having trouble reading posts. So I tried highlighting them (Cmd-a) and voila! They show up with white letters on a blue background. The posts, the index, everything! It's like a miracle. I can read it all very easily just by highlighting it all. It doesn't matter whether the posts are in black letters or blue or red or purple! They all become white on a blue background. And you gave me the clue. So don't try to tell us that you don't have any technical ability!

Jack

Thanks Donna, today (thursday) is the first day New Orleans only newspaper started to publish comics, so I was chuckling while standing in line at the unemployment office, while reading the comic strip and went to their website to read the last week

Comics are such a reflection of our lives

Thanks Donna. I don't read the comics everyday so I didn't know about this. I checked them out, and got a few good chuckles.

Beetlegator, thanks for posting that link. If anyone missed the strip in the paper, they can see it there, and best of all, it's in colour!

Gad Zooks, RD, Keith and I look forward to meeting you and Jaime on the Cruise of the Century, (we're pn the same deck), but you're going to be so popular, I don't think either of us will be able to get near you
