We just returned last Sunday from cruising on the Enchantment, upon arriving at home my husband realized he had forgotten to take his good ring out of the safe and pack it. We called immediately, and the CSI rep said she would e-mail the ship ASAP. What are the chances we will get it back???
We found a man's diamond ring in the safe on our Glory cruise March of 2004. We took it down to the desk - explained the situation and they took it from us. They knew the room number and obviously had to know who was in it the previous cruise - but we never heard anything back. We figured the guy had taken it off for one of two reasons - he went scuba diving and didn't want to lose it - or (more likely lol) he was married, met someone who didn't know he was married and he took it off. If it was the first reason I hope he got it back - if it was the second I hope he had a lot of exlaining to do :o
Hope it works out for you - most people are honest - aren't they?
Thanks so much for the encouraging words. We are hoping for the best, but it is our fault for not double checking the safe before leaving. Maybe we will be lucky and someone has turned it in. If not, I still had a wonderful vacation.
Just received a call from Royal C, they found my husband's ring and are sending it out to us. Here is a great big thanks to the person that found the ring and turned it in, whoever you are, I'm grateful, and here is hoping you have a great day. I would guess that our room steward found it and turned it in.
