Good morning, friends. Wednesday already? All went well with Sadie's surgery yesterday. She is home and happy. We have to wait 7-10 days for the results of the biopsy, but I am not worried. It is funny how upsetting it is when our pets are ill. I'm not so sure I want to go through all of this with another pet in the future, but Gary assures me we will get another puppy.
I hope you all have a great day!

WE must have posted at the same time ML! Glad the dog is doing well After our cruise we went to visit freinds in daytona Beach and their cat was run over by a car.Needed extensive surgery and my freind was a wreck. The cat made it through surgery but was kept with the surgeons office over the weekend.By the time we left cat was doing better but the vet bill had reached well over $2000. I guess it's a small price to pay considering it will save the cat.Thankfully our friends have lots of investments and have zero money woes.

ML The good times out way the bad times I think when a pet is concerned, don't you think?
Sue, I had a cat once and I named her "Murphy" as she looked like a Irish as she was tan in colour. The first time I took her to the vet they added my last name to her first name and announced that Murphy Brown was next!
I am only doing enough to get by at work these days and that should be the way it should be everyday.
I have reduced my stress and pressure by doing this and work is not so bad by doing so.
I don't think the boss knows yet that I am doing this .
Good morning from Orlando where we're in for day 2 of what has just been named TS Tammy. Days like this I wish my job was indoors at the office, beautiful sunny days I'm more than happy to be "in the field".
Liam, nice to see you this morning/evening.
Mary Lou, glad to hear that Sadie is doing well.
Sue, aren't you glad your cruise wasn't this weekend with all the rain?
Good Morning CruiseMates!! Another beautiful summerlike day for NH's Lakes Region, I am working this afternoon. I really enjoyed this 2 days off. I looked at apartments with Patty. Patty and I spent much time together so I feel like the time was well spent. She said she "can't wait" to get into a place we can call home. She is anxious to start filling that cruise bank for another cruise. I think I created a monster, she is addicted. Have a great day CruiseMates.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
With the last few nice days upon us, I'm really trying to get the last of the painting done. Today I've got to take a day off from the painting because we have another blood drive at the plant. They allow us to take the time from work to donate blood, so what the heck! I get paid for donating!
Maybe, after work, I'll go to the shoe store to look for some new work shoes. The pair I'm wearing now bother my feet too much. I've only had them for about 4 months! What a waste of money.
I've got to get my work done this morning, so I can donate blood in the afternoon. So....
Monday morning, I got up real early and got an early morning flight to Toronto for a business meeting. The meeting finished early so a friend and I rented a car and drove to Niagara Falls. Hadn't been there in over 30 years, still an amazing sight. Didn't get to post the daily post Monday and Tuesday.
''MARTHA NOT ALLOWED IN CANADA''. Last week, I posted that Martha Stewart was coming to Atlantic Canada for a pumpkin festival. Apparently, ''A person with a criminal record who is on probation is considered inadmissible''.
Good Morning all. Another hot fall day in Michigan!!! GO REDWINGS!
Marylou: A replacement puppy is always a great idea. When the time is ready you will not have second thoughts. Our little Nicki is a replacement when we lost our Bichon a year ago. Shortly after that, (4 weeks) I lost my Dad, to HepC, which was awful! As a way to help me through this time my DH placed a cute little black puppy in my hands. She was a pound and a half of fluff. I wasn't even thinking of a puppy at the time but this little girl has become a godsend. She is always in my lap, or more likely on my shoulder, and has helped me get threw rough times. I never thought I'd get so attached to a pet and we have had many that I've loved, but this one is a whole different story.
After 5 years of medical issues with the Bichon, we were really looking forward to a healthy pup. Then all this leg stuff started. The specialist said her surgery went very well yesterday. She gets to come home today were I have to start physical therapy on her. I have to watch her very closely for the next 8 weeks. Otherwise the knee cap pops back out and we have done it for nothing. I have to wonder, what do people do when they work? What do these doctors expect? I guess they have to leave them in a kennel but that would slow her recovery.
Anyways, I'm rambling.... Just had to tell you about my baby.
P.S. (the other thing my DH did to help me threw last year was he booked a cruise. Such a guy)
You all have a very, very, very good day!!!
HEY MicheleP! LOST is on tonight!!! I heard a female will die this season.

BW, I love Niagara Falls, especially the Canadian side. We used to go there fairly often when I was a "youngster" from North Tonawanda, NY-north of Buffalo. That Botanical Clock has been around a long time.
It is overcast here in Avon Park, FL. There were several rainy periods yesterday. Of course, my rain gear was in the car!! But, I caught a break and managed to get home during a lull. Last night it just "spitted". In Canada, when there is light misty rain, or it's just starting, we say it's "spitting". (at least that's how my family explained it to me. )
Today will be a pretty normal day at work, thank goodness. Better go, it's 8:06. I'm glad the pet surgeries came through OK.
All of you are in my thoughts, daily!! Lynne
Morning All, from a still-Summer-like Montreal. It will hit high 20's, low 30's again today, around 80F. I'm back in shorts and sandals after digging out my socks and jacket last week! Loving every minute of it, I know it won't last...
Yesterday, I spent my day off shopping up a storm! Trip, you would be proud! I had a list of stuff to get for the new kitchen, and for my daughter's apt. The kitchen is basically installed now, just need to get the stove and fridge back in there, but he still has to paint and still has to knock out another wall. I don't think this is going to be the last week...
Meanwhile, it's back to work, 3 more days and looking forward to a long weekend! (Canadian Thanksgiving).
Good morning Cruisemates. Been up and about for hours but just getting to the boards. Tropical Storm Tammy is chugging up the east coast of Florida and is dumping lots of rain here in Oviedo. But it beats the wind and rain they are getting in Port Canaveral so I'm not complaining. And Lynne if I have figured out anything, it is that it never just "SPITS" in Florida. When it rains it pours.
2 weeks from right now I'll be on my way to FLL to get a plane to Rome. Been busy preparing for that. Precriptions have been filled, all the formal clothing has been to the cleaners and the clothes are being staged in the spare room closet. This 50lb restriction per bag is killing me. But I will win the battle.
Have a good day everyone.

It is another wonderful day here in WI ... quite warm for this time of year, but will enjoy it while it lasts ... am heading for the lake this weekend and next to get it closed up for the winter ... ... oh well ... hope all are having a good day and that things work out for the pet lovers ... I have a cat and know the feelings ...
Some days it does not pay to wake up. My car needs a new ac compressor.
Sadness here as one of Mikie's classmates was killed down the road from us driving home. High rate of speed, lost control, took out a fire hydrant and two trees. Eyewitnesses tried to help but the car was too badly mangled to get him out without the jaws of life. Sounded like a great kid, varsity swimmer and crew and a band member.
Everyone have a great day.

Good morning mates from mile high Payson, AZ. Cooler today as a front is going through and they tell us we could get rain. I won't hold my breath because when they predict rain......IT USUALLY IS NOT TRUE!!
Talked to our builder in AR this morning to find out how the house is going. Plan to put our house on the market here in Payson next week after my daughter and 2 grandkids (from So. Ca.) visit us this weekend.
A late Good Morning from 'spitting' rain Vancouver.(Lynne-we definitely use that term but not often enough-it is usually really raining here!!)
Took my eldest to the Ortho and she got her (top) braces on. Today she starts her twice a week paper route-and of course it will rain!! Her little sister(and us) will be helping with part of her route as it is near her little sister's school. Of course little sis will get 20% of the meager pay!
Just the usual on later today-ballet for the girls.
Found out I can get Travelex Lite policy(phoned their office yesterday).Oooh- we might book soon for our cruise!
Bill(BW)- I did not hear about MStewart unable to cross the border!! lol
DougR-how tragic to hear about your son's friend.

Okay, it's afternoon but I haven't had a chance to post yet so I'll come say hi.
We saw yesterday that Carnival is moving the Sensation to Port Canaveral in the spring to do 4- and 5-day itineraries... we're actually looking into booking! Tomorrow is their "one-day" sale so we'll see what pricing we could get.
