Hey y'all............I haven't been here much since we got home from the Glory......things have been very hectic......Larry has been having problems & we didn't know what it was........been to Drs, MRI's, CT's........ended up in the ER today........they thought it was a stroke.......turns out it wasn't.....all the tests came back negitive.....so that was good.....they called a nuerologist in & he seemed to know what it was by looking at Larry......did a quick test....injection of something I can't pronounce....& he was back to his old self........so now he's in the hospital with them trying to get the meds right.......what he has is called myasthenia gravis. Rare I guess.....but this Dr specialises in it, so that's a good thing.......
Hopefully we will know more tomorrow......so keep Larry in your prayers.........
Hi, Larry and Sharon. Prayers and good thoughts on the way to you both from Patty and I.
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.“
Sharon: I've missed you around here. I am so sorry to hear about Larry's problems. I'll keep you both in my prayers. Please keep us posted and tell Larry that Gary and I are thinking of him. You take care of yourself!

So sorry to hear that news. When my niece was 3 years old she was diagnosed with this same thing. It took them a long time and she was in complete liver failure before they knew what it was. We put her on our prayer chain, and our pastor called a Pastor from the same denomination as ours who lived close to the hospital she was in in Washington State. As soon as he went and prayed for her her healing process begain.
I know that your prayers will be answered too. Today she is a brillant, beautiful 20 year old. She is in her 3rd year at UConn, in the pharmacy program.
Sharon, I am so sorry to hear this news. I'm glad that you have a diagnosis and that it is treatable. I've missed seeing you around here and having you in chat. I thought it was because you were busy with work. Tell Larry that we are praying for him and for you as you go through this. ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))
WE were actually wondering where you have been lately, now we know and also glad the dr's did figure out what the problem was...My thoughts and prayers are with you both, let us know when Larry is back at home...Take care.[/color]
Good new......the meds are working......his eye mussels are responding.....voice & swallowing still have a ways to go but the Doc thinks he will be fine........now to just get the meds right & get him home.....
Prayers from Cruisemates are the best....they do work!!!!!
New update on Larry.........hopefully tomorrow they will be doing a plasma phoresis on him......that means they are killing off the anti bodies that are attacking his nerves.......hope they explain it more to us on Monday.....but all I know is they say this will help him get back to his old self real soon.....
Sharon, I'm a little late with the good wishes, but I've been bedridden myself these past 3 days. I would've gone to the hospital, the pain was that bad, but I couldn't get out of bed! Just a slipped disc or something, nothing serious. Glad to hear Larry's problem is identified and treatable. Sending good wishes for a full and speedy recovery!
