Montel Williams re: missing woman on Carnival

I usually admire Montel a lot and enjoy his shows a lot more than the other junk on TV. However, today he seemed to attempt to place the blame on Carnival for not finding this man's wife. Perhaps if they were together in the casino (not to say that couples HAVE to stay together) maybe they would know where she is today! Why isn't the husband being blamed for that???

However, I must admit it's pretty mysterious that the security camera in the area had been covered with a piece of paper.

But when Montel looks at the camera and says "you may be holding a ticket for a cruise, beware!) seems a bit dramatic to me. Terrible things can happen anywhere! And if he really wants to help this man find his wife, I wonder why he didn't say WHEN, WHERE and WHICH Carnival ship it was?? Might help jog someone's memory a bit more than just showing her picture...

C'mon, Montel, don't lower yourself to the level of other daytime talk show hosts...

Jean, it is all called hyping the truth for ratings. The biggest problem with the shows and 'news' today is that they no longer report the truth or seek the truth. They twist everything until it fits what they want you to believe and so that it will get them higher ratings. One of the reasons I seldom watch anything except documentaries and history and nature anymore. If I want to find out what really happened I have to read the actual documents and statements and not rely on any of the talking heads to tell me what I just saw or heard.

Well, at least (to his defense) he admitted that he bad mouthed Carnival earlier in the show, but admitted that they did a great thing (not sure actually if it was Carnival or another cruiseline) that they flew a couple back to Miami from the Caribbean after they got the news that their house had been intentionally burned down....and the suspect?? The best man at their wedding!!!

Hmmm....can you say "jealously"?? WEIRD

I haven't heard about a woman missing on a Carnival ship. Was this a recent story? Am I just out of the loop(as usual)??

Montel has to compete with Nancy Grace. 'Nuff said.

Rebel,

As I posted previously, no mention was made as to when, where or on which cruise ship this happened...they just showed her picture, which seemed rather strange to me if they REALLY would like some information on this poor woman....but hey! I just work here...

Jean: I thought you knew what story he was referrring to although he didn't say on the show. It sounds like Montel had a lot of detail so I thought the story was already common knowledge.

My wife and I always stay together all during the cruise. She does in case I wander unsupervised into the casino, and me just in case she wanders unsupervised into the shops!! LOL
