Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.
Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.
Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.
Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim,
take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.
Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them,
keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.
Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.
Get plenty of rest.
Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.
Take the doctor's office approach.
Think about it...
When you go for a shot, what do they do first?
Clean your arm with alcohol..
Because alcohol kills germs.
I walk to the liquor store. (exercise )
I put lime in my Corona...(fruit)
Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies)
Drink outdoors on the bar patio..(fresh air)
Tell jokes, laugh..(eliminate stress)
Then pass out. (rest)
The way I see it...
If you keep your alcohol levels up,
flu germs can't get you!!!!
"A shot in the glass is better than one in the a..!"
I plan to do that on Tuesday. I've had a sinus infection, and the doctor told me to wait two weeks to get the shot. So tomorrow's the day. I guess it takes two weeks before it becomes effective. Hope I don't give a bug to anybody in the care facilityvin Minnesota. I'm going there on Friday.
Just had my 35th annual flu shot (I was required to get one in the Air Force and just kept getting them).
However to be sure I follow both regimins....

We will go on Nov. 3 to city hall to get ours. The cost is $20. Years ago our doctor would say just stop by. Then for awhile it was $5 at the Senior Center, but last year we went everywhere, no vaccine. Finally around Dec. they allowed us to get one. Never been sick since starting them, but I take a lot of precautions too.
TBug, yes, that is a sign all right. It's my "Hi CruiseMates!" sign that I carry in my camera case when I cruise, so that I can say Hi to CMs from wherever I go! You'll notice a few of them in my cruise photo galleries and stories.
