Donna--I was going through some boxes in my basement that we moved during the flood awhile back. I found a framed print that an old daycare client had given me. I had forgotten all about it. Thought about you as soon as I read it.
One hundred years from now...
it will not matter what my bank account was,
the sort of house I lived in,
or the kind of car I drove, but the world
may be different because I was important
in the life of a child.
It's Ok Cheryl, I found it , late, but I found it! That quote is very important to me. It has been laminated and hanging in my home for at least 20 years now. I got my first copy from the Playful Parenting franchise in Pennsylvania when I went there 20 years ago for training for a Montreal franchise. It perfectly sums up the way I feel about being a parent, and a teacher. Over the years, I have made laminated copies for all of my childrens' special teachers, coaches, and camp counsellors, the last 3 went to my son's very special "Visions" teachers when he graduated this year. Thanks for sharing it with everyone, and for thinking of me!
