I know what you mean. Snowy here in Indiana too. I guess what really stinks is that when we left about a month ago it was pretty warm and the leaves were just changing colors a bit. Then we come home from our cruises a week or so ago and its like Antarctica. The trees are bald, its snowed at least 3 times, though this is the first time its stuck, and it is cold. So it seems like we hardly even got to experience fall at all. I think the worst part though is that we don't have a cruise booked. I have a few ideas of cruises we want to do, but haven't booked anything yet.
we had a very unusual weather here in mpls for november it would

I grew up in the north and now live in new orleans..if I never see snow again I'll be a happy camper..come to think of it..last year on Christmas day it did snow in New Orleans and every one said that it only happens when hell freezes over..guess what..hell didn't freeze over, it just flooded over
be careful shoveling snow..it's not good for the heart
actually, I am in Central Oregon, and we got about 8 inches of snow. Last Monday I was bringing DH home from hospital after surgery and did a 360 and ended up in the ditch. While I waited for the tow truck I was really thinking about cabin B334 on CP next april. It was very cold.
WOW, I hate to rub it in, but here in Florida it's 72 degrees, and the Lovely Mrs. Jones and I are packing for our cruise on the Legend of the Seas in just 6, yes I said 6 days. We'll drink a pina colada for all of you.
See you aboard,
I actually miss the snow. I remember as a kid, waking up to see a foot of new white powder on the ground, knowing school would be canceled. My parents couldn't afford a sled for us, so we either met new friends who had them, or used card board until it was a wet soggy mess. I remember as well, when I was a teenager it snowed hard in Charleston, SC when I was there, and of course the ice storm that hit in Texarcana, and when it snowed here two winters ago.
Sorry..I am off topic!
Ah yes, March is slow in coming for my cruise. Can I borrow someones snow to play with?
Ken have a great trip; 7 days for us. When we cruise in December I always worry about a blizzard here in the frigid north. Texasfyre, very soon I am sure I could send you many feet of snow. It will be piled up by the plows right up over our front windows.
I truly enjoy and appreciate winter because without it what fun would spring and summer be? I lived in Georgia for 4 years and there was a price for an almost year round warm climate-BUGS! And lots of them. I was forever spraying for ants because I hate the dang things and by mid-summer, their everywhere...so y'all can have it as far as I'm concerned! Spring is a bit far off, but this year I got a cruise to Alaska waiting for me.
