Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Good Morning and TGIF!
Good Morning gang! It is a COLD one here in SE Wisconsin.........16 right now under clear skies and light wind.
I am off of work today - next day off is next Wednesday. I hate this during the holiday season, but at least I have all of Christmas weekend off - a rarity in the health care field! So, I will pay the price now to be able to celebrate the way I used to before I became a nurse!
Have a LOT of shopping to do...........christmas, grocery, etc. Also have a couple of loads of laundry to do to. Gotta think of a menu for dinner tonight and get up early enough to go shopping to make it!
Have a great day everyone!
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
I'm off today, then early tomorrow we drive to Galveston and sail Sunday! Whoopie I haven't been asleep for hours so I decided to go ahead and get up. When I left work yesterday everyone came by my office with well wishes and bon voyage gifts (many kindly offered to stow away to help us have a great time...what generous co-workers!).
DH's back is feeling better but now he has a chest cold; he was coughing all last night, poor dear.
We are meeting up with Girlsavage in Galveston for dinner (Renee, are you awake too?!) They are going on the Conquest for their first cruise too.
TBug; I have a permenant grin a mile wide and can hardly wait to get to Galveston! I'll probably have DH drive to the pier before we go to our hotel! I just want to see where the Conquest will be the nest morning!
Well everyone, lots to do and I could write on and on but better get going. Thanks for all the excitement and information you've shared with me. If I don't post again until I get back, have a great week!
Good morning Lisa, Angela and all the CM's to follow. Lisa, we are having that same cold weather along with snow. I really, really, really hate winter.
Angela....how exciting for you! Have a wonderful trip.
Tomorrow is the craft show that Jackie will be debuting her jewelry at. We still have much to do tonight to get ready for it. I hope all of her hard work pays off! You all have a great day and weekend!

Good morning you early bird CMs.
Angela.......it's also 48° over here in Bradenton. It's supposed to go a little lower tonight. I am LOVING this weather......and we have another 'cold' front heading our way after this one! We just might have a fairly cold winter.......sorry tourists and snowbirds, but us RESIDENTS love a break from the heat.
BV to the other Angela.
Lisa.......time to talk Dad into selling the house and heading south.
Everyone have a great day ........ we are taking our Grandson (6) "Toys for Tots" shopping tonight. He gets an allowance when he is with us.....for being Grammy & PawPaw's little helper....we match it to give him enough. Last year he bought a bike for a boy. We went to the store to get a nice truck, but he had his heart set on giving a bike.......so we coughed up a little extra. He enjoys going to the Marine recruiting office here in town to give it in person rather than just drop it off in a box. His Mom works for UPS and this year they are a sponsor.... each location is filling a trailer. However, Kristopher still wants to take his to the Marine recruiter. Mommy will shop with him for something to put in the UPS truck.
TGIF, indeed! It's been one long week, so I'm glad it's nearing the end. I had fun putting up X-mas lights yesterday. It seemed that every string of lights had a section of lights out, and it took forever to find the offending bulb. "One light goes out, the rest stay lit", indeed! I put up 22 strands of lights on the bushes in front of the house and on two trees in the yard. That adds up to 2200 little lights, give or take 10 or 20 that burned out and I didn't feel like changing. Isn't it amazing how they burn out sitting in the box all year long.
Anyway, tomorrow morning I going to try and bag a buck, and in the afternoon, I'll go and cut down our X-mas tree. DW is undecided on whether or not she will go. It's been our tradition for 20 years to cut down a tree, so hopefully, she will feel better so that she can go.
Good Morning!!!! I am in a foul mood this morning and looking for a victim to inflict it on. Any Volunteers???? I am having trouble at work. Seems like I am being passed over for another training opportunity and I am the only one who did not get their desired schedule approved.
Everyone have a great day, at least better than mine.
BTW If your boss says this is not to slight you, it means you just have been.

Hi There, Everybody!
At 11PM last night when I came on to check email, etc., I flirted with the idea of being the first poster today. "Nah, I'll never be on there THAT long". Well, I hit the bed about 12:43 this AM, but had completely forgotten it until I laid down. Now, what does that tell you! I must have been really tired!!! I didn't get home from my evening outing until almost 10PM and then watched "ER" til 11:00. Thus the late start!
My computer temp reads 52 degrees here in Avon Park,FL. We're about 90 miles SW of AngelaZ. I wonder if the air is warmed over all the lakes in between. I hope the weather stays decent for my son's visit from Ohio next week. 70 will seem warm to him-but to me? Brrrrr.
I think it will be a "lazy" day at work today-we had the Red Hat Luncheon yesterday at a restaurant, then an entertainer in the facility at 2PM, and then I did my Thursday bingo at 3PM upstairs in Assisted Living. Today will be "normal". Decorating is going on throughout. I decorated the 3rd floor tree on Wednesday with one of my volunteers. We got it all done only to find out that not all the lights in the box worked. (Hear me,fasteddie?). The box was already up there with ornaments and the plug was up in a light receptacle by the ceiling-and we had no ladder. So...
But, another strand was found yesterday and all is well.
This weekend will be spent tidying up the place, putting away a dresser full of clothes. Trevor just "loves" doing laundry. He folds it and then leaves on the bed. When he goes to bed, it gets put on the dresser! Or, I put it there so he or I can go to bed!
Bye for now. Have a terrific Friday. Bon Voyage to all you lucky people going on a cruise this week. Enjoy!!
Good morning from very cold south west florida...the heater has been on and my dh warmed up his car this morning before he went to work. How will we manage in cold Germany?
Our daughter has shown no sign of improvement and today will be a trip to the throat specialist for sure. She had over 101 temp and this is just not gonna go on anymore! Poor kid.
I have had anxiety attacks yesterday and I am also still sick with cough.
My aunt got her christmas wreath and chocolates today that I had ordered for her and she was very happy and surprised. At least something! She said I will see it in person when we get to germany..if we make it..
Take care guys
June 1st 2015--- Denali Explorer Cruise on Star Princess!
wow, Friday already. Nothing much planned for today, recuperating from yesterday's pain. It's 34 degrees here in Fort Worth, sun is shining. My mother informed me it was snowing in South East Washington, wish it was here.
Beargoose, have a great time! I will be watching your ship leave port.
Sue, hope your daughter fares better today, poor kid.
Good Morning from Central Texas. I am the Nurse again today, Yea!! Yesterday I had so much fun. I was just like in the movie Kindergarten cop. It's been a long time since I was in the classroom with little ones. So much fun, but was dragging by the end of the day. Beargoose, I hope you have a wonderful time. Will be watching Sunday, as you sail away. Lots to do this weekend. Besides the cleaning, we have HS payoff game, and the start of our Christmas Market downtown. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here. We found out that on one of our cruises, there are 700 teens signed up. It would probably upset some of you, but we are thrilled for the boys.
Good morning to all from the Liberty. We are enjoying the last 2 days, both sea days aboard this beautiful ship. Yesterday we took the Panama Canal tour and our ferry was actually raised twice. Great up close experience. Our female singer is Katrina, who we enjoyed on the Glory 2 years ago. I've been very lucky so far and have won 2 Bingos and $250 on the slots. Tonight is our last formal night. We had over 75 at our own M&M (Carnival doesn't sponsor) and it was great. Small world, I was talking about growing up in Florida until my senior year to a passenger from Florida and she mentioned she grew up in Calif. When we compared notes we found out we graduated from the same high school in Calif!
Have a great Friday everyone! Time for more fun!

Good morning from a snowing Vancouver. Not too much though. I did buy one of those snow-toboggan boards yesterday at Costco and the girls tried it out last night in our backyard. Seemed to work pretty good!
Have to pick up the eldest soon at the arena(P.E. class is iceskating) to get her to science class on time. I guess the teacher gets disgruntled when the PE kids come in late. So this is cutting into my shopping time!!
Tomorrow is hair cut for me and then watching the first performance my girls are in of the Nutcracker Ballet.
Jeanne & Beargoose: Bon Voyage!!!!!!! Have lots of fun!
Doug-sorry to hear about your work troubles.
Tex(Brenda)-a special hello to you this morning. Hope you're feeling better.
Everyone-take care. Bye for now. Brenda
