I think this myth was rebunked a while ago on these boards.

I guess I now know MORE than everything.

Niagara Falls didn't freeze up. That is impossible anywhere on this planet.

However, an ice jam did block the Niagara River once, thus preventing the river from flowing over the falls. People took the opportunity to recover things on the river bed below the falls thought lost forever, including a couple of skeletons.

Luanne,

A couple of these are somewhat inaccurate:

The Canadian Flag is wrong. It's just poor engraving.

The "jiffy" has a number of definitions. In computer and electrical engineering it has a value of one nanosecond in a 1 GHz processor and .5 nanosecond in 2GHz and 1/3 in 3GHz.

There are a number of the other ones in there that I had no idea about. I'll have to go out and shave a tiger to see if they have striped skin.

Take care,
Mike

To whom it may concern: Someone sent me this, and I thought some of it was interesting, so I shared it with you. I didn't have time to check all of it out, to see if it were true. Some of it seemed far fetched, and some interesting. What was that show a couple of years ago? Believe it or not.

Hi Luanne,

I can tell you that the tiger "thing" is true. It's also true of house cats. If you shave a cat (Please don't ) their skin will correspond to colors of their fur!

I can also tell you that cat's have at least 100 vocal sounds! This is from personal experience!
