Bowl Week -- First week in January

My husband and I are cruising the first week of January, during Bowl Week...and as luck would have it our team has made it to the Orange Bowl (by the skin of their teeth). Has anyone traveled during this time? We are cruising on Mariner and would like to know if we'll be able to watch the game and if so, where? We are scheduled to be at sea that day.

Congratulations on your team making a bowl game...my team the Tennessee Vols are going to the "toilet" bowl this year...their sponsor is Charmin...lol.

I agree with you Dar..the Vols will play the Razorpiglets in the toilet bowl. 8)

We've cruised during playoff week and you just never know which game you'll get.

I have a vivid memory of the staff trying to get us (in our lifevests) into the lounge where they were starting the lifeboat drill. We were all glued to the TV outside at the bar because it was the last few seconds!

Seriously, the Orange Bowl is the only game that is on Jan. 3rd. It's on at 8:00pm, so get to dinner early and enjoy the game!

The Vols will be okay.I can remember we fans being down when Peyton graduated,but behold we win a national championship without him.At least we can watch PLENTY of bowl games,and eat a lot,and care less who win,or who loses....Take Care

Yes, you can watch your game on any of the many TVs in a sports bar.
you may have twist some arms to change the channel to the orange bowl.

I wouldn't say it's guaranteed you'll get to see the game. I've cruised the first week of the year for about the last 6 years and we've only been able to see the game while we were in port or close to it after setting sail.

Last year for instance, we watched the Colts in the sports bar for the first game but the next game was only available until about half time.

You won't really know until you get on the ship.
