I just got off the phone, and we can travel without worry of me infecting anyone. For those who don't know, I have been sick for the last couple of days, with a bad sore throat. I thought it might be strep, but turns out I have a sinus infection. I am now allowing myself the chance to be excited. I also phoned the motel, to check my reservations. I had messed that one up big time on the internet. The kind man there was able to straighten it out for me. His name is Carl. I didn't know that the Galveston area had two Holiday Inns. We are going to stay there tomorrow night, and Christmas Day, and then when we get back from the Elation. So, always double check your reservations, before you leave.

Wondering if I would have gone with strep? For those who really know me, know the answer, but for those who don't know me yet......
No I would not have gone. I would have insisted that my family go without me. For me, what I do comes from my heart, and to possibly infect so many people when they had paid good money for a fun time, would have been against everything I am about.

Now I have to get up, and do something. Will check in later, and will be in chat tonight. If you get a chance, come and join us.

Luanne, I'm glad you had it diagnosed. I have sinus infections, too. It's hard to know if it's a cold, flu, or worse.

Anyway, a sinus infection can be treated, so it's not like to the flu where you just have to suffer with it until it decides to go away.

Have a wonderful cruise, and don't forget to take youor antibiotics

I would not of gone had I gotten strep either. The entire block would of known do to my temper-tantrum though!

Glad to hear you're on the mend. I thought after 48 hours of antibiotics with strep you are no longer contagious. You may want to check that out for future travel plans... its a shame to miss a perfectly good trip when you don't need to. Take 2 aspirins, get lots of sleep and call us in the morning.

Good news alright! I know from experience that you can feel pretty rotten with Strep. Glad you don't have it, but sometimes thesse colds and sinus infections can be just as hard to get rid of.
I have been battling a "bug" of some kind for the last few days. So far I am winning but I'd better not let my guard down! Keeping the sniffles, sore throat and cough at bay with rest, liquids, vitamins, and meds. I will NOT give in!
