Last night i had a dream my mother was wearing a White football jersey with Blue letters, the number 88 on it. I asked my mother why in gods name was she wearing a Dallas cowboys jersey! (we both are die hard skin fans) and she told me It wasn't, but a big football hero died and she was wearing his numbers for respect.
I heard about it tonight after work. It is very sad. Tony Dungy has always been so solid and a great family-oriented person. I don't blame him for leaving the team for awhile. Priorities. The game consumed his time, especially with all the wins. And, at the moment, is is JUST a game-the significance pales in importance to this family catastrophe. Of all people-and at this time of year.
Derrick Brooks said that it must be God's plan for this to happen, but things like this are hard to understand. It will be extremely difficult not to not think about it each year at this time.

I would imagine the only thing that would make such a tragedy worse would be having your family (and your pain) on public display afterwards. How terribly sad...
