Default Did anyone get a surprise cruise?

Wondering if there were any cruisemates who got .. or gave.. a cruise as a gift (and if anyone gave one, were you able to contain yourself and not spill the beans early ) ?

Hi Kuki:
Yep, I did... I gave my DW a Princess Cruise on the Coral Princess to the Panama Canal. She was bowled over... I don't know why as last Christmas I surprised her with a Celebrity Millinnium Cruise ( all in all our best cruise to date ).
I haven't tried Princess before, but we look forward to exploring the cruise lines. I know when we returned to Ft Lauderdale on the Millie last year the Coral Princess was parked next to us and externally it appeared to be a gorgeous ship.

Regards,
Ben

I already got my Christmas gift cruise - an early booking on the Cruise of the Century! Can't wait for that one!

Hello Ben, and Merry Christmas
I'd bet you'll really enjoy your cruise on Princess. It's a bit different than what you're accustomed to on Celebrity, but still very, very good.
Happy sailing!

Maybe I'll get one for New Year's Eve!! Trevor has been looking into some. Is the Cruise of the Century all booked already???
Santa has to decide if we can afford one earlier than next fall. My co-worker is booking a 2 week cruise to Hawaii next November. We can't be gone at the same time. A Christmas/New Year's cruise sounds like fun, though. (the end of Dec. is a "down"-quiet- time at work). I wish we could entertain the thought of 2 a year. I'm ready RIGHT NOW!! (Just came back on Oct. 30.)

I surprized two of my Grandchildren with a 4 night Baja cruise on the Monarch of the seas. I did this same cruise this past January with my daughters and had a great time. It was hard to keep it a secret, but well worth the wait, when I saw their faces lit up this morning.

hey the day is not over yet and I live in central and my son lives in pacific time zone..plus the mail is still slow getting in new orleans

but the answer is yes, my son treated me to the smooth jazz cruise in november on the conquest for my christmas present

next year, depending upon his schedule, I am going to treat him to a Windjammer cruise to do some father/son bonding

Also, did you get my pm about the dinner in Orlando on the 29th?

I will forsake my BB name for a bit, and become the eternal optimist.

Any of my fellow Cruisemates wanna spot me a cruise?

I eagerly await your replies.

I gave a surprise cruise to Priscilla for a X-mas present. It's on the Valor 3/05/06. We will enjoy that after recovering from the Hawaii Cruisemates cruise coming up in 12 days!! John F

Thank you for the welcome. So far it looks like I will be choosing to cruise on carnival conquest out of galveston and doing the caribbean cruise probably in april.
Let's hope that I am not making some obvious mistake here that I simply am not aware of.

Congrats to both the presenters and the receivers. I can't think of a better gift.

The nice part is some had the will power to keep it a surprise. With my "big mouth" I'd have spilled the beans long ago

Design.. the Conquest seems to continually draw praises from returning passengers, so I don't think you have to be concerned at all.
