Default How many e-mails do you get

I have four e-mail address I use. CruiseMates, business, home and international. Decided to calculate the number of e-mails received just for fun. The tally is an average of 155 per day (this includes spam).
No wonder my fingers are sore from typing ... ROFL

How about you??

At work, I get probably 100-150 emails a day. At home, I get probably 10-15 a day (including spam). I found a rather simple way to eliminate spam, so I hardly get them at all anymore.

I don't get very many. Because, my son is a security expert and has installed several protective fire walls, spam elemiators, etc.
Maybe I get 15 or so a day.

At home I get about 15 per day.
At work my average count would be around 260. Of these our corporate spam filter will block about 210 daily. This leaves about 40 legitimate and 10 are spam. I forward these onto the corporate spam filter. I have been told that most spam has an invalid email address but the spam filter folks have the ability to decode the actual address so after a day or two those or gone BUT new ones continue to show up.

Regards,
Ben

Without spam, I get between 40-80 emails per day in my main inbox. Alternate addresses get much less. I use those for registering for things online.

I only have one, and get maybe 10 a day, more if a particular co-worker decides to send me a bunch of bad jokes!

About 100 a day, and of those, only about 25 that I want to see or from people I know.

Here is my Broadvision report for 12/23/05

Mail Received.................... 485

Mail Rejected...........................312

Mail Sorted..............................172
Unable to Sort.................................1
Mail Passed....................................172

This means that out of 485 emails 172 made it to my machine. From there my email handling system passed about 30 through to where I actually saw them in my in-box. I have a number of filters in my email so I don't see most of the SPAM.

Once in a while I may miss a legitimate email but they are VERY few and far between but SPAM is a pain.

BTW: Don't send me an email that says "Pass this along to ten people" I probably won't see it

I get probably 40 or 50 a day that I view and answer maybe half of those or do something active with them. I also get another 200-400 a day that either get nailed with the norton spam-filter or deleted or just I look at the heading and delete without opening. I only use two e-mail addys and on the other one I check once every doy or so and get another 100 or so and of those maybe a couple are something that I pay attention to. Lots of deleting e-mail without every opening it. I try not to delete e-mail that I want but occasionally it gets lost in the middle of the junk and spam.

Remember how many emails the Rennaisance cruise line used to send out...???? That's how many I get from Publishers Clearing House!

I must admit, that I do not read joke emails, so if you see this, and you send them to me, you could take me off your list..[sorry] I also won't forward emails to 10 of my friends, by the end of the day, or bad luck will follow me all the days of my life

I get about 25 emails overnight and more as the day goes on..the ******, & mortgage type, get filtered, but that man in Africa, who wants to give me money won't give up!

I guess I'm fairly lucky. I get about 40-50 on my work email and about 10 per day on hotmail.

The hotmail are usually people's replies from here (Cruisemates).

The bank's email server is pretty secure, I open and reply to most throughout the day on my blackberry, and about 10 or so with reports etc that I open on my lap.

banker

When email signatures are fully secure, and technology is fully adapted to document processing, do you think regular mail will ever go away completely?
