Just a reminder that the United Postal Service has increased the first class postage from 37 cents to 39 cents for a one ounce letter. All other rates have increased as well.

I think the earliest priced stamp, I remember is 4 cents. We also had mail delivery twice a day when I was a kid...The mailmans name was Arthur. If I fell over my mailman now, I wouldn't know who he is

Personally, I think it is a bunch of BS! Just stop Saturday delivery. At one time we needed that, we no longer do will email. Just think how much money they would save. Wouldn't have to keep raising the cost of the stamp.

**A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.**
It's such a ripoff that you can put an envelope with a personal letter in the mailbox outside your house and for .39 cents a person will pick it up and it will be delivered anywhere in the United States. Then another person can go to the mailbox right outside their house or front door and get that personal letter and read it; usually within just a couple of days of when you sent it.
Boy, I call call that a MAJOR ripoff.
That personal letter can't be altered and if you want you can insure it if it has something valuable inside of it. Those electronic mails can be altered and printed to say anything you want it to and if it doesn't show up then you probably never knew the other person ever sent it.

Wow Trip did the postman's horse get watered at your house?Just kidding....Now that I am in my 40's I can still remember my paper route, the dairy man(milk man),ending days of Drive in movie theaters, and watching cartoons only on saturday morning I miss those days.
39 cents is a bargain, we pay 50 cents and that's Canadian money!
I just put $1. postage on a US letter because it contained a newspaper clipping that made it heavier than usual. No wonder people prefer the internet these days...
