Good Thursday evening Laura, Patty and everyone.

Today was 19C or so.

I let the neighbor know that their water tobby was leaking.
That was fun as the people that were there at the time were visitors from pommy land and had seen the water flow over the road down the road but had no idea that they were the cause of this water flow.

One day till the weekend and then Wellington anniversary day on Monday so we have a day off.
I'm on call that day so I will get a lieu day for that. Woo Hoo!!

Everyone have a great day.

Good morning Laura, Liam and all the CM's to follow. Looks like we are back to mild weather...going up to the 50's today. I can live with that. Steeler fans are really getting excited here in the "Burgh". You all have a great day.

Good morning from Orlando.
I just saw my son and I on the news this morning! Yikes! We donated blood last night during one of the local stations blood drives....they had interviewed my son about it being his first donation (he's 16) but I sure didn't expect to see our faces this am!
Liam, what's pommy land?

Good morning,
Little guy is talking and it is so hard to concentrate. Boy oh boy does he like to talk!
Angela,
That is cool that you and your son were on the news. Good for him to give blood. Good kid!
Liam,
I also noticed a few words I was not sure of. You have to do translations for us so we know when we all go to NZ. Is the water thing like a fire hydrant?
Laura,
You must have had a cataract removed. Great! Now I need a hearing aid and I will be set.

Good day,
Karen

Good Morning All,

What a icy day yesterday. School ended up being cancelled in the end.
I got to work, and didn't even take on step after leaving the Jeep before I was flat on my back. My left arm took the brunt of the fall and the bottom of my forearm has quite a painful lump on it, I think it will be a very colorful bruise as it progresses.

Brenda - yes my husband is on call and he has now been gone for 24 hours, and I have no idea when he will be done. Soon I hope. I'll be leaving for work and the house will be quiet, he could get some rest.

Nothing new here.

Good Day to you all,

Mornin' everybody,

It's going to be another unseasonably warm day today with temps in the mid 40's. I wonder when we will get hit with the "big one"? The snow blower is just taking up space in the garage right now. I hope it will stay that way.

It's that time of the year at work where there is not much going on. We did all of the projects at the end of the year so we could spend the money in the budget. And now we are waiting for the new projects to get approved. It's sort of the calm before the storm.

Have a great day!

Ed

Good Morning!!!! One person I know of is having a real bad day:

There are two bus routes (same company) that serve My stop going to NYC. One goes to Port Authority Terminal in midtown, the one I take goes to Wall Street area downtown. A guy got on our bus but discovered it was the wrong one because the next stop is different than the Port bus. Instead of just going with the flow and taking a subway uptown once we got to the city, he became enraged and accused the driver of having the wrong sign up on the bus (She didn't, it said Wall Street) he began lashing out at the other passengers and tried to pick fights becuase we called him a liar. Finally the police intervened and escorted him off the bus. Presumably he is in the Ocean County Jail thinking about how he could have avoided all of this (and probably saved his job) by just hopping on the A Train once he got off the bus. Suprising thing is this guy looked like an executive in a well tailored suit and expensive topcoat.

Hope you have a great day today everyone!!!

Jen,
I am sorry you fell. It is the fall day today on here. I saw the guy you were talking about on Idol(Statue of Liberty costume). They should give those kids a set amount of time. Some of them really stink and they let them sing.

Ed,
I am still waiting for the two to three foot blizzard. Where is it?

From: The Canadian Atlantic coast

Good morning CruiseMates:

The weather has gone completely beserk. Here we are way up north of the Atlantic coast with above freezing weather, it rained all night and there's no snow left. What's the problem you ask? Our eco system is dependant on snow. If we don't have snow and it suddenly turns very cold, there's no insolation for the plants. It will kill many plants.

Outside of the weather, there's not much to talk about. Got to get a life!

Have a fun day,

Bill

Good morning from Florida where the weather is back on a warming trend.

Jen, I hope your injuries don't hurt too much. Take it easy on the ice.

Not much going on around here. Have a good one everybody.

I forgot to add to my post a note to BW that I saw the covered bridge in Hartland was in danger because of the high water and ice. One of the few landmarks in NB that I actually have been too. I hope they can save it.
It was on the Canadian News this morning.

Morning All, from Montreal, where the weather is just as beserk as elsewhere! Yesterday's freezing rain storm left a city covered in ice and pedestrians sliding in the streets. Walking to the train, I couldn't walk in the street because it was a flowing river. The sidewalk was a standing lake, so I ended up on what was left of the snowbanks, which, being slushy, at least gave me some traction! I honestly don't know how I got to work without taking a spill like VTJen!
Overnight, the rain changed to snow and now we are coated in white once again, but the white is hiding alot of ice underneath - it will be a treacherous day for pedestrians once again!

BW, I agree, if we have nothing more exciting to talk about than the weather, we've got to get a life!

Good Morning everyone from Texas. I just got up, so I'm not sure how it is outside, but I can hear my wind chime, so it must be still blowing hot wind. News last night said that we needed to water our foundations, so that they don't crack. I'm not sure how much a foundation needs.
We sure could use some rain.

My back went out on Friday night, and I have been unable to drive, or to clean. I have finished 4 books, but the lady with heavy meds and books, needs to get up and do something productive.

All week I have thought about the fact that I will have another birthday on Sat. I remember when they were welcome. I suddenly realized last night, that I should be glad I am having another.

Thoughts and prayers to all of you.

Luanne

Good morning CruiseMates! Another busy day in the lagoon, both at home and at work. I'm soooo ready to just be busy cruising! But, that will have to wait two more weeks-hope I can hang on till then-lol.

Luanne nailed the TX weather: "so it must be still blowing hot wind" Forecasters say we M I G H T get some rain this weekend.

Have a good day!

Good Morning,
We're just about to head out to my mother's. I'll be back home on Tuesday. Mom lives in Englewood, north of Sue.
It is sunny here in Avon Park, FL with the temp in the 50's so far. They should warm up to the 70's and we may even reach 80 by the weekend. Wahoo!!
Have a great weekend, Everybody. Lynne

Default Good Morning Thursday

Good morning from Southern California. No ice, no snow, and like Texas, no rain, which we need here, too.

Yesterday we went to Expo and bought new knobs . . . 37 of them. Keith spent the rest of the afternoon putting them on all the closets and cabinets. Then we discovered that we needed a dozen more. oday, back to Expo we go

Have a good day, all.

Pommyland = England
water tobby = tap that turns water off/on to your house

I hope everyone who is hurting today (and there are many) get well soon.

Good afternoon now!! It is 69F, winds 20 to 27, 55% humidity. Still about 10F above normal! Need rain badly, burn bans in effect statewide. Maybe I'll just get on a ship and cruise 8)
