Mini-Suite photo gallery on Island Princess is up

Hi everyone,

My gallery of our mini-suite on the Island Princess is up, showing all details of the cabin.

By the way, these photos were taken on the 11th day of our cruise, to give you an idea of why cabin stewards love us. :-)

No one keeps a cabin that neat. Our cabins have never been that neat when we boarded the ship. Where is your stuff?

Harry.. we also had a mini, but not the open aft end like yours.

Enjoyed reading your article about the "upgrades" on the home page. Someone should have told our steward they missed a few cabins with some of the upgrades.

We were in a stretch of several cruisemates cabins next door to one another, and we got the new lines and wonderful duvets, our pillows had already seen a few thousand to many sleeping heads, and towels in the bathrooms were so worn many had holes in them.

None if it earthshattering, but surprising siince the ship had been in drydock for the major overhall and upgrades.

The public areas though were certainly all pristine.

Thanks Harry, my wife and I booked a Mini suite on the Coral. Gives us a good idea of the cabin.

Thanks for the pictures. We took this cruise about five years ago on the Island Princess and really had a great time.

I have a San Diego question for you. We were on the Dawn Princess for New Years Eve and San Diego was out last port of call before we came back to San Francisco. Anyway, we spent the day in SD and had a great time. We went to Sea World. We left about 5 PM, and I was watching from our balcony and I saw a very pretty building, all lite up, but I didn't know what it was. It looked like a carousel and had red, white and blue lights.....Do you know what I'm talking about? Honestly, I wasn't drinking at the time.

on the clean coments ... the secret is putting everything in the closets and drawers. I like clean surfaces. :-)

Also, on the toiletry bags, I just hung mine on the door when needed and then just rolled it up when done.

Let me think on the building downtown in SD for you Buddy. I think it is the SDG&E building (oddly enough -- our electrical company).

Fianlly, so sad Kuki you got chintzed on the upgrades ... all the ones I mentioned for mini suites really made a big difference for me ... that was one of the reasons why I asked the cabin steward about 'em all.
