Default Different B2B after Cruise of the Century-Stay Onboard

For those of you who don't want to wait around in FLL for 2 days, the Century is going to be doing a 2 day cruise January 4-6, 2007. You can stay on board and make it a 7 day cruise total but get credit for 2 bookings with Captain's Club. This one goes to Nassau and ***edited to remove advertising***. I've booked and so have some others.

Yup.. I booked this cruise quite awhile ago, when I first learned of it. Got to stay in the same cabin I have for the New Year's Party of the Century. I thought the cost was a bit higher than two days in Florida would be, but staying on the ship, before heading to Ft. Lauderdale and joining the CruiseMates Liberty cruise seemed to me, a good idea.

We've certainly told people about it, but because we didn't make it an "official" CruiseMates Group Cruise, we didn't advertise it on the boards. (same rules apply to us advertising as to anyone else. That's why your post was edited).

Anyway... there is a number of us going, so that'll be fun!

The only drawback I think is the one day back in Miami is sort of a non cruise day, with all the embarkation day procedures, and new people boarding. But.. we can lay out by the pool, or even go off for the day and do something in Miami.

Default Different B2B on Cruise of the Century- Stay on Board

Yep, Keith qand I booked it, too. We'd rather cruise than spend a couple of days in a hotel. When we get back to MIA, hopefully, we can do something during the day prior to the 5 p.m. sailing.

This is the first I heard of this.

Where does it go, again? Can you tell me the other port?

Kind of surprised you edited it, Kuki, cuz Nancy was including a 1 hour cocktail party and only $100 deposit ... definitely had the idea it was a CM cruise being B2B on the same ship.

I believe the cocktail party and $100 deposit is for the 5 day New Year's Party of the Century cruise. That I know of... there's no cocktail party included in the price of the 2 day sailing.

I'd have to check, cause I don't recall, but the 2 day cruise was a seperate deposit, and I think the deposit was higher too.

Not trying to deter anyone... as I'd love to see more cruisemates stay onboard with us, but don't want to confuse anyone either.

Nope!

I had her send me the info and pricing. She sent me the flier and it does say cocktail party and only 100.00 deposit for the two day! I thought the prices were good too.

I'm surprised it was not advised as an option. If not by CM than by Nancy. Anyone considering it would want to keep their cabins too.

Sounds good to me, I'm going to do it! I don't really like short cruises (short to me is 7 days) so the extra 2 days will be absolutely perfect!

Woohoo, I'm happy!

Wish we didn't have to go back to work.
Sounds like a great way to end the cruise of the century!
Angela Z. who will just have to be happy with her 5 day adventure!

I booked it once I knew, but had a change of heart..for me the difference was 600.00. the deposi twas 100.00 pp..which I rolled over to the 5 days...

She mentioned that we may not be able to keep the cabin we were in, and, others may find the same thing. As the crusie comes closer she said she was going to work closely with the rep to see if cabins could be kept.
Nancy is so good ! For many, I suspect it will be a great thing!

I felt I would rather go down even earlier then I had planned on, to see friends, and shop

Well Susie.. glad to hear we'll get to spend an extra 2 days with you
Now you just need to go on the Liberty afterwards too... just keep on keepin on

This all came up just a short while before the "Get Lei'd 3" cruise, so I just booked it without paying too much attention to the details to tell you the truth.

At the time I was too busy getting all the "lei'd" stuff organized.

Hopefully more "NYs party" cruisers will decide it sounds like a good idea to them as well.

For us I'm thinking it's a long way to go for just 5 days...

Well I'll just have to let fate decide as I still do not know about DD school schedule. If we drove down she would miss these two extra days anyhow, we would just arrive home Sunday. Oh what to do.

I dunno, to much to think about on a Saturday morning...my brain may blow up.

When I first saw the post regarding this, I thought maybe Mort and I would sign on for the 2 extra days. But - the extra $600 cost is a little too much. We'll be satisfied with the 5-night cruise to give us the chance to celebrate the New Year with all our Cruisemate friends.

Hi Cindy... looking VERY MUCH forward to seeing, and sailing with, you and Mort again!!

For folks like you and Mort, who live in the area, the cost of the extra 2 day may seem high. And looked at as seperate cruise I think it is. Actually surprised they are asking per diems that high for a 2 day cruise in Jan. That was one of the reasons we didn't add the extra 2 day as an "official" CM group cruise.

For those flying in, it's more cost effective to extend the number of days, and that was my thought process in booking it. For example, amortizing the total cost of the 5 day and the 2 day, made a balcony cabin just under $1100.... which is really pretty good for a 7 day New Years cruise.

Add a balcony cabin on the Liberty leaving the next day, and you get a 15 day cruise, with balcony cabin for under $2100... which as a package is a pretty darn good price, considering it includeds New Years Eve (which is generally the most expensive time of the year).

And, of course, the inside and outside cabin are considerably less.

We're working on doing the extra two days too. Won't be able to do the B2B with the Liberty since just 12 weeks after that we will be doing a cruise to Hi & Vancouver with family. For me, the time is not a problem but hubby doesn't have as much leave time. So, for those of you staying aboard, we'll see ya!

Linda.. good news that we'll get to spend 7 days with you and Guerry, instead of 5. 15 would have been even better, but I understand

We'll all be able to hang around by the pool and watch everyone disembarking, and embarking and make fun of them

The lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I just booked the 2day also. In all our cruises we've never done a back-to-back so it'll be a new experience for us. (Plus we'll get to spend a couple more days with all our CM friends!)
We're really looking forward to this cruise, and especially aboard one of our favorite ships, the Century!
See you all, aboard,
Ken

Looking forward to it and meeting some new folks, too!

April.... great to hear from another one of the stay on board gang! It's going to make the extra 2 days onboard even more fun having so many of the group stay on.

Do have to admit it's going to be tough saying goodbye to the people getting off after the 5 days. Sure to be some tears shed.

(and we won't taunt them with it until after they are out of range to throw stuff at us )

Sorry folks! We decided not to add the extra two days on.

I'll just have to get all my meet and greets and get-togethers in on the 5 days! Whew! That will be tough, but I'm up for it!!

T..... understandable! The 5 day is a GREAT deal, the 2 day a bit less so. However, hope you come to Miami for a pre cruise night. Sure to be a CruiseMates get together in Miami somewhere that night, to get the party started.

I'm so glad April was willing to do the extra 2 days with me, woohoo, 2 more days!

After doing my first B2B this fall, I found I really like staying onboard, not having to get off!

We were able to keep the same cabin, an added plus! I didn't want to change cabins, we have a good mid-ships spot!

Absolutely cannot wait for this cruise!

Thought I'd move this back to page one in case some of the people who will be signing up for those suddenly available cabins on the Cruise of the Century just might be interested in making it a 7 day cruise.

It's only a $100 deposit pp ... plus another free cocktail party - way to go, Nancy and thanks.

Added bonus - you get Captain's Club credit for TWO cruises which will put me into the next category for my April '07 Connie cruise! And, I'll get 10 whole free internet minutes ... whoopee!
