Kindergarten class project! Help Flat Stanley get home
Dear Cruisemates,
Greetings from Indiana! Meet flat Stanley! He is a character in a story our class read who was accidentally flattened by a bulletin board. In the story, Stanley is mailed across the country to a friend.
Our class made our own Flat Stanleys to travel the world. If you receive a Stanley, please mail us a postcard from your state, province or country at the following address:
Mrs. Taylor’s Kindergarten Class
c/o a little Cruisemate
1110 7th Street
Covington, IN 47932
Next put Stanley in an envelope with this letter, and send him somewhere else. We will be tracking the journey’s of our Stanleys, and plotting the postcards on our classroom map. We are very anxious to see where his adventures take him. Thanks so much for your help!

Thanks Phyll,
The kids can't wait to see the postcards roll in from near and far. We are really looking forward to seeing all the responses.
It would make the kids day to get a postcard from any of our Cruisemate friends. So please drop them a line or two. its really appreciated.
The kids are really getting the hang of reading. Last night d/s made it through 24 pages of a Dick and Jane book...hard to believe those are what I learned to read with too.
Absolutely! Montreal postcard will be on it's way soon!
Were you around when I did my Flat Stanley project?
My daycare class made their own Flat Stanley (who turned into Flat Stanleyette) because a girl drew long hair on the picture! I plasticized her and took her with me on my cruise last April. She went everywhere with me, even to the beach and in the hot tub! It was great fun, and the kids enjoyed seeing the photos when I got back. (You can still find them in the photo gallery under Valor Vacation!)
I received (and mailed out) a Flat Alice - years ago - she had started in Australia and made it to Spain, Scotland the U.S. and here to Canada - I sent her on to friends in England - so she was having a great trip. What a wonderful experience for the children.
I will be sure to sent Flat Stanley along his way if he appears in my mailbox.
OMG you folks are the best!!!! The kids are going to have a ball with this!
Jodi, if you email me at mrleopard33@hotmail.com I will send you the actual letter since it drops the flat stanley image when I try and send it from here.
Thanks so much!!!
As soon as I kin find sumon' in central Luzinana what kin right, I'll put un of them there cards in the male.
Magnolia Blossom
Actually, our area is home to the oldest settlement in the Louisiana Purchase. I'll see if I can find something reflective of that for the
little ones.
Beenie,
I have sent to Iowa, Connecticut, and North Carolina, Tomorrow, I will forward to co-workers in Hawaii, Mexico, and Australia. I hope you get cards from there.
Jodi

How adorable is that!!! Everyone really outdid themselves on the Flat Stanley project, Thanks!!!
Browzilla, those pics are wonderful! I forwarded them to my son's teacher from last school year because I know this years kindergarten students will get a kick out of them. You put a lot of work into that. Its so darn cute!
I just emailed Mrs. Taylor and let her know that the Cruisemates and Flat Stanley are once more busy at work travelling the globe and sending postcards and pictures from all of their exotic destinations.
She loved the pictures and cannot wait to share them with the class.
beenie weenie, is this a new request for this year's kindergarten class?
I remember doing this for the class last year. I would love to send a postcard and/or Flat Stanley from my daycare class!
Well Miss Rollerdonna it seems as though Flat Stanley is ready to rock and roll again. I really think its sweet how its a brand new school year and folks are so willing to do such nice things for these kiddos. Mrs. Taylor was so excited yesterday when I sent her the link to Browzilla's marvelous pictures and Crabbie's news that she is sending a postcard, I think it would be lovely if you and your daycare class wouldn't mind sending a postcard again this year.
Its funny how much we have all enjoyed Flat Stanley. Even though my son is going to a different school and has a new teacher this year, I am looking forward to sending Mrs. Taylor's class Flat Stanley postcards from our travels at March break to the eastern and southern Carribean.
Thanks to all of you for thinking of the kids.
Yesterday saw a Flat Stanley on tv. It was during the qualifying for this weeks Nextel Nascar race in Kansas City, one of the drivers (Kurt Busch) had been sent one and was taking it in his car for his qualfying laps. He hoped to be able to write that Flat Stanly had traveled at 200mph or more. They were taking all kinds of pics to send.
Whatever class gets that letter and pics should really enjoy it, especially the boys!
