Kuki,

Is the Genesis class the one where you no longer need to take the ferry between St. Thomas to St. John. They just dock in St. Thomas and you walk from front of the ship to the back and you are in St. John.

Take care,
Mike

I fear that the Exodus of the Genesis will be very, very slow.

There is a point where it is too much ship...... and I think this is too much ship. When I was on the Valor, I told myself not to go on anything bigger. I like the feel of smaller ships. more personal I guess.

That one looks too big for me also. Can't imagine what the ports will be like when all these big ships start docking there.

I don't care how well they design the enterior to minimize crowd congestion, I can't imagine disembarkation from this behemoth or tendering from this thing or even where will it dock ??? How many docks can accomodate this thing?
This thing has no appeal to me whatsoever. I wonder if they are going to have to discount rooms to fill it up ?

Regards,
Ben

You could spend a seven day cruise trying to find you cabin once leaving it !!!!!!!!!
Starve to death finding the buffet. No thanks, I cruise to get away from traffic and (good grief) 5400 passengers.

For those of you who like cruising on a smaller ship, perhaps you could book passage on one of the lifeboats.

That is mind boggling. How many people does it hold? How much crew would be needed for a ship of that size. How many tons of provisions?
For some reason my mind is having a hard time to concieve it. Of course I have only sailed on the Sensation and the Majesty of the Seas, so I have no experience with truly large ships, which now look pretty small in the shadow of the Genesis.

How big was the "Freedom Project" of a few years past? It seems we are getting close in size now.

I betcha they don't have any trouble at all filling up that monster!

While like most of you, I find myself saying "Not me" because it's just too big, I have to admit, my curiosity just might get me on one sailing.

Hi:

I see I'm very much in the minority. I can't wait to book this new ship. Of course I'm booked on the Freedom too. Can't you tell I like the new bigger ships? I think part of it is my curiosity and my sense of adventure. I love to see what's new and I also love the big ships. I don't care that it's the size of a city....it's still on the water and I love cruising.....

Happy Cruising....Buddy

PS I'll be retired by then and I won't care if I get lost trying to find my way around. If I get lost, I'll just stay on for another cruise......

This one definitely isn't for me. I prefer the smaller ships. I don't think they'll have any trouble filling it though. A lot of people prefer newer, bigger, better, etc.
