Default The Ultimate Valentines Question for Cruisers

Okay here it is:

For a Valentine's Day Gift....
Would you choose/prefer a nice cruise, or a "fossilized, pressure-treated carbon ornament" of equal value?

Mrs. Cynic is absolutely torn. She wants a nice big rock (It is our 12th anniversary), but she so badly needs a cruise.
What to do?..... what to do?

I suppose I could sell a kidney and do both. THAT would be "love".

compromise...instead of taking her on a 7 day cruise, take her on a 3 day weekend cruise and buy her the "rock" while you are on the island or buy it at home and surprise her on the ship at dinner at the supper club

A 3 night cruise IMO is a waste of time, especially if you have to fly to port.

I personally would go with the cruise but to make sure you don't screw up - can you ask her - maybe give her Gift A and Gift B and say she can only keep one of them......This way, you can't go wrong.

Wow, you are in a tight spot. It would be a hard decision for me to choose. I don't envy you. I guess you may have to ask her. Or have envelope A that discribes the cruise and envelope b that discribes the bling you have chosen and let her decide.

Let us know how you pull this off.

(of course you can function with one kidney...)

Get the cruise and buy some lovely little earrings. They don't have to cost a ton.

I would DEFINATELY prefer the cruise. "Bling" is just not that important to me. But a cruise..... away from Montreal weather in February? The answer is obvious!

I'm with Donna, I would definitely prefer the cruise over the "rock".

CC, the choise can only be a cruise.
The (little ) rock you can buy on one of the islands.

Cruise all the way. Let us know what it's gonna be

Default The Ultimate Valetine for Cruisers

I'd have a difficult time choosing one. I love cruising. And I love bling. Like mother like daughter. Actually, I am hoping to find a deal for diamond studs on one of the islands during the Cruise of the Century.

As you said She WANTS a rock, but NEEDS a cruise. Sounds like your 12th anniversary is improtant to her, and the ring will be forever. You'll figure out a way to get the cruise in if not now then later.

I know Mrs. Kuki would prefer if I sold both kidneys, and enough other organs for HER to go on the cruise, and buy STUFF!

With this group, you are asking the wrong question. It's not a question of which one, it's a question of a cruise and what else (VBG)
