I really need a cut and color...so...the question of the day is...
Is there really a big difference between a discount cutter or chain salon and a foofoo salon? Other than the price?
Just your opinion.
As a stylist, who have worked in both now have my own, the only difference is the experience of the stylist. Usually the chain has newer stylist, less experience with color, because thats where the money is.
Find out what kind of product they use, if its going to be straight forward one level up or down find a happy medium. And stay with the same person, don't jump from person to place, we all use different products.
i never fool around when it comes to my color!! I had a really bad experience with an inexperienced colorist - i went from turnip to big bird. Not sure which was worse. Talk to a friends who have had color done that you really like and ask them who they go to. I would deal with a local reputable salon over a chain when it comes to color.
