Default Souvenirs!! Any special ones from a special cruise?

I still have a key chain from my first cruise in 1983 on the Festivale. It is in use with my household and car keys daily. It has on it the names of Carnivals whole fleet at the time "Carnivale" "Festivale" "Mardi Gras" and "Tropicale" Carnivals fleet has grown a lot since those days. From that first cruise I also have a picture I took of the actress Mamie VanDoren and a paper with her autograph. My second cruise was on the Mardi Gras in 1984. I still have a large straw bag with "Jamaica No Problem" on it. Sweet memories.

I don't have any one memorable souvenir, but we've bought refrigerator magnets from all the islands we've visited on our trips. The top door is getting pretty well filled up. I'm hoping to work on the lower door soon.

Of all the things we brought home, my favorite is the memories in my head of our first cruise and being upgraded from oceanview to penthouse suite with balcony.

Otherwise, my favorite a handpainted ceramic tile of a Bahama sunset. The young girl who painted it signed and dated it. It is very beautiful.

This wall unit in my "Cruise Room" holds most of the souvenirs of our cruises, including photo albums. If you'd like to see more pics of the Cruise Room, go the the Personal Photo Gallery, and search "Cruise Room"

Like fasteddie, I too collected fridge magnets, from everywhere I've ever been. I had to stop though, and clear them off before the poor fridge keeled over from the weight!

Ihave a unique set of matruska (?sp) dolls from our Baltic cruise. They are a very pretty dark wood and each piece has an icon beautifully painted. The tiny doll is of course the baby Jesus. Really nice at Christmas time but I keep it out year round. I've gotten so many comments about it. I hope to do this cruise again next year and have explicit orders to return home with several of these. Wonder what I can sell 'em for? hmmm

Steph,
It's great to see that your 15 yr old has his priorities in order... cruising first, everything else second....

My best souvenier from a cruise is from my very first cruise on the Carnival Fascination out of San Juan in 1995.

I liked my waiter so much that now he's my husband! January 1 was our ninth wedding anniversary!

Jennifer, That is so sweet. How long after the cruise did the two of you marry? I have all kinds of stuff. cups, mugs, ships etc. All I need is a ship, and I could be carnival.

Louanne you sound like me!! My first few cruises I collected so much stuff. The hardest part was getting all those glasses home intact. Somehow I managed. Back then they even gave away bumper stickers "I Cruised The Fun Ship Festivale" Of course I had a bunch of those too. Carnival should have had me on their payroll in the advertising department.

My favorite - I started collecting the crystal ship replicas that Princess sells of their ships. I have one of every class on which I sailed except the old Pacific Princess.

Now...if anyone knows where I could get one...
