Good morning all. Time to rise and shine. Lots of Cruisemates cruising and travelling this week. Stay safe, have fun and take pictures for us.
Weather is warming up a bit here in the Hudson Valley, maybe I'll get the car washed to get the salt off.
Have a great day everyone.
Good morning PapaBill and all the CM's to follow. Oh how I wish I were amoung the CM's traveling this week! Soon enough though. Our weather is looking up for the rest of the week. Rumor has it that we will see 70 degrees by Friday. Gary and I are taking a trip to WV to visit the daughter unit this weekend. It has been a long time since we've been there so I am looking forward to it. That is about it from the "Burgh". I hope you all have a great day.

Now in the red zone for the next cruise. Devoting more time to packing, and more and more time to wondering about what I'm forgetting to pack.
Two weeks aboard a ship makes for heavy luggage. How I look forward to next week's moonrises over an ocean I've never seen before.
And--it figures--the weekend weather forecast is warmer at home, than at our departure port. A long pants sail away.
Have a great day, all.

It's a brisk winter's morning here in central NY, where the temps are also going to be in the 60's by the weekend. Whoohoo!
Not much going on today. After work, I've got to drive DW to the plastic surgeon's for her check-up on her wrists. It ought to be interesting. I don't know why she scheduled the appt. so close to her knee surgery, but what do I know.
Other than that, it's nice and quiet. I hope it stays that way!
Good morning from NH's Beautiful Lakes Region. Another day off for me. Patty was here yesterday and asked me to take her to visit our friend in the NH State Hospital. I might do that today. Patty "reads" with universal signs for public restrooms. Yesterday we had lunch at the local D'Angelos. She said she was going to the ladies room. I absently said ok, then realized that restaurant did not use the signs. I got there just in time to stop her from entering the mens room.......phew!!! Life with Patty........gotta love it!!! Have a great day CruiseMates.
No snow today, but chilly - only 11 today. Supposed to be in the 50's by the weekend.
Like Trip I get sick of making the same old stuff for dinner and had been running out of ideas. I tried to think about what we used to eat when I was a kid that I don't make. Somewhere from the corners of my mind I remembered Swiss Steak. So I downloaded a recipe and made it for supper last night. It wasn't as I remembered, my mother was a good cook. My son and DH loved it tho' guess I'll be adding it to the cycle.
It really is a small world. Last night my daughter called from Florida, where she is touring with her singing group from school. She opend the conversation with, "guess who I just found". Of course I wasn't sure. Turns out that some friends from our church happened to be dining in the same restuarant as she was. Neither knew that the other were in town. She happened to head to the bathroom at the same time as the husband. She said when the saw each other they just stopped and stared at each other. He said, "Gayla is going to flip when I show her you", so he brought Liz back to where they were sitting and his dw back was to them so he was really able to surprise her. She did flip out. She told my daughter that her husband had just remarked to her earlier that day that there were so many people all around them and how wierd it was that they didn't know anyone. They own a prominent business in our area and everyone know them, so it was really different for them. My daughter is one of those that no matter where we go we are always waiting for her as she knows people everywhere. Last time she was in Boston, she ran into random people she knew. It does get to be wierd after awhile.
Off to work, then the hairdresser. I will be with a different stylist today as the owner and stylist I usually go to just had to have emergency surgery. She had sores in her mouth for over a year. Last Feb she had them operated on. The specialist have been watching them very closely for the last year, they just couldn't figure out what was causing them. About 3 weeks ago they finally found out they were cancer. They had to remove a lot of her lower jaw. She had surgery less than a week after finally diagnosed. She could use some prayer if anyone would be willing.
Two of her children are the same ages as mine, and she has been my hairdresser since I was in the 6th grade. She is a lovely person.
Good morning from the High Seas Watched the sunrise and docking to Castaway Cays..it looks just as beautiful as last time. Today is a day at the beach soaking in the sunrays.
Last night's dinner at Palos was fine. The steak I had was very good.
I guess there is a virus here,a lot of people have the "BUG". We bumped into a husband last night at the shops and he bought a ring for his sick wife. He said she had been sick for 12 hrs now but feeling better, eating rice. Just hopeI dont get it!
Tonight fireworks, a show and pirates. As you can tell we will be busy.Maybe I check in again tomorrow.
There is a problem with me staying onboard..they told me when I booked this I can stay on. Now they are telling me I have to do customs and get off.I am not happy that they did not tell me the right info but oh well.I wish I would not have to spend hours at an empty terminal and wiat until all the other cruisers are coming onboard!
But I am cruising so what the heck
Have a good day mates

A quick good morning from me in San Amtonio before I have to depart.
Really don't want to go back to the cold, but I would like to keep my job....
Got an e-mail from Delfthuis, and she is enjoying NCL Spirit, with good weather and good food. Talk to you all later when I get home....
I'm a bit bummed out today. Former Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer, Kirby Puckett passed away yesterday from a stroke. He was only 45 years old but had become very overweight since glaucoma had shortened his career in the late 90's. He was a great player. Five years ago I had been lucky enough to sit next to him on a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Minneapolis and was able to have a good conversation. He was a regular guy. He wasn't perfect buy any means but he played the game the way it was supposed to be played and gave it his all every time he was on the field. It's players like him that make baseball fun.
Today is just a day of car maintenance. Betty's car needs brake work done and I don't feel like becoming aggravated and doing it myself so it's into the shop for new pads. I also want them to check the exhaust. I think it sounds like a leak is starting. Otherwise it's eight days until we leave for the far east. d
Take care folks,

A bright and sunny day here, weather to be very spring like, by the end of the week.
I went to the real estate agent yesterday,to see my friend who's husband was killed last fall. It's amazing, how one person can deal with so much..She broke her foot, and also, has an eye problem, to deal with. I told her,she has very broad shoulders;(
I am off to the bead store. I came up with this idea for a necklace & braclet, which I have named the "LALA"! It's very unusual, using swarovski crystals, Very dressy, good for a wedding or formal night on a cruise I need to buy sample stones so the ladies can see their choices.
So that's my day.
Make it a good one.
Trip, with her book & tea!

Good morning mates, Another lovely day in SE Florida. If you would please give a thought or prayer for Ellis today he goes back to the specialist for his ankle, and seems they can't find what is causing him so much pain. Having to walk gingerly he has messed up his back more and right now he is in a lot of pain. Although he doesn't complain, always says there are people worse off than he is. god bless him. Thank you so much.
G'day mates from the Heart of Dixie where it is clear and expecting a high of 68F. By weekend they are forecasting mid to high 70's... Things are blooming and it feels like Spring is ready to come out of the closet. Bring it on.
One downside to this is that they are forecasting bad thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening. At this time of the year we enter tornado season which can be scary and can cause considerable damage.
I have a business meeting today with a company we do business with in New York and these two guys are flying to Birmingham for lunch and then flying home. I don't like the way that sounds as good news can be delivered over the telephone, but bad news is usually relayed face to face.
Well, we shall see.
Be safe guys !
Good morning from Detroit. It's going to be in the high forties today and sunny. Hope everyone's day is great or gets better.

Good Morning cruisemates! Chinook winds blew into Calgary as forecast so temps are in the 40s F. Think we'll be throwing dinner on the Bar b q tonight.
I'm on to my bi montly Costco run for work. I always amaze my staff as to how much "stuff" I can fit in my Camaro on these pick-ups. Guess it's like packing a suitcase.... depends on how you put it in.
Seems like every day there are CruiseMates and friends of cruisemates who need our prayers, and good thoughts. Sad to think so many people are suffering all the time. Good thoughts go out to all of them, and it reminds us all to be thankful when we're feeling good... and to live as full a life as possible to enjoy it!
Good morning from a rainy Vancouver. I think we did see the sun over the weekend though!
Eldest returned from Band Camp on Sunday and had a good time.
Youngest had a notice on Friday from her school about a virus going around;but Monday there was not so many kids away so the school was not shut down today. She luckily, has only a normal headcold.
VTJen-thanks for the breadinacan info. Sorry to hear about your friend/hairdresser. Hopefully the operation will fix everything.
Jeanne-I hope they can find out what is wrong with your husband.
DMan-I look forward to your review as I have never read much about Costa cruises. They sometimes have kids cruise free on very specific cruises.
Work later today. Take care. Bye for now. Brenda
