And a happy St. Paddy's day to all of you. Is everybody resting up for the festivities tonight? I haven't been the first to start a thread in a long time.
DW went to the eye specialist and he checked her out. He quickly gave her condition a long name which DW could not remember, but he reassured her that this problem is not all that big a deal right now. But it was good to see him none the less. Her regular doctor will keep an eye on it. (Pun intended)
Tomorrow, we will go and see our niece at her high school play (Beauty and the Beast). She does not have a major part, but it's fun seeing the kids put on these shows.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my Irish cruisemates. Cold day again. Hoping spring is coming soon.
Talked to my girlfriend from Orlando (Minneola) last night for over 2 hours. She moved there a year and a half ago. Our phone calls are only a few times a year but they are long when we make them. Thank goodness for e-mail.
I have a big date this Sunday with the most handsome 10 year old I know. (my nephew) We are going out for lunch and then to WalMart for some shopping.
Hope everyone has a great and safe day and weekend.
Wow, am I the 3rd one up? Happy St. Patrick's Day to you if you're Irish, and Happy Friday if you're not!
I am not a fan of the colour green, but I do own 1 green shirt that I only wear once a year. Will have to dig it out this morning!
It's a cold St. Paddy's Day here in Montreal, -8, but sunny at least.
There is always a fantastic St. Pat's parade in downtown Montreal on the weekend, I hope it warms up for that!
Good Morning!!! Tis a great day to be Irish!!! Off today and I will be helping Marj and MikaLyn deliver DVD's and gifts to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Outpatitent Cancer Clinic here in South Jersey on behalf of Mikie's Angels. the charity named after MikaLyn. The DVDs are watched by the kids undergoing chemo as sometimes they are hooked to an IV for hours. MikaLyn is getting her semi-annual checkup as a followup to her chemo. She is our miracle. Also getting ready for a business trip to Atlanta Monday through Thursday, wish Marj could go or that it involved a cruise ship
Everyone have a great Irish day!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day!! Being half Irish and half English, I can lay claim to being one of the chosen for this day . Houston is 66F and foggy with rain in the forecast. Searched the Carnival site yesterday for a cruise in May, trying to determine which one to take, want to do the Elation again but might have to settle for the Ecstasy or one of the ships out of Florida. Anyway, any cruise is a good cruise in my book . I might even do a third cruise this year . Cool!!
Have a wonderful Friday everyone.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Courage and perserverance have a magical talisman; before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into the air.
Pick your company wisely! Hang around people who are going to help you become all God created you to be.
Good morning mates and a beautiful day it is here. Spring is coming into full bloom. Driving in this morning I saw hundreds of pear trees blooming with beautiful white flowers. Also some lawns are starting to sprout green.
For some reason St Patrick's day is not much of a big deal in the south. It may be because the south is predominantly Protestant, but beyond that I don't have a clue as we just don't go all out for it.
In the spirit of the day I wish everyone a happy and wonderful day.
Enjoy this day mates and be safe.
Good morning mates from SW AR. Happy St Patricks Day to all of you out there with Irish blood. Mostly sunny today with a high of 68 F.
DW and I will be going into Hot Springs later on today and she will have some metal staples taken out of her arm. Dr. took out a Melanoma spot last week that was just beginning to become active. After the appointment we'll have a late lunch at Cracker Barrel.
Good Morning cruisemates! St Patricks day means I come home from work today covered in green food coloring.. from making the beer green.
This morning I'm waiting to hear from my business partner as to what they've found wrong with her. At bed time last night they had determined it wasn't appendicitis, but were sending her for a Cat scan.
Good Morning and I am back from vacation and at work. YuK..Work. By me posting from work, you know that I am not yet retired. We had a very good time. It snowed every day. Enjoyed our selves very much.
hope you all have a wonderful and safe day.

Okay, I'm only about 12 hours off-but-what the heck!
There was a lot of green in our facility today and the decorations have been up all week. I wore "lime green" or " or "green apple" color yesterday as practice. I facilitated a "90's Club" gathering (aged 90+ over) and the theme was St. Patrick, of course. Today was the DARK GREEN. We all had fun with it.
We've been having some fires down our way, but we call them "muck" fires-mostly in the ground. I only heard about a Sebring fire, down the road and across the lake, late this afternoon. Apparently, no houses are going to be affected. We just smell the smoke from here.
The 12 Hours of Sebring car race is this weekend, which is a BIG DEAL. Lots of traffic and grocery stores and other places of business are busy. Again, from our location, we can HEAR the cars racing around the track. Some people camp out in special areas designated near there.
My mother MAY be moved to Venice, FL in the next few days. The place where she is has given her a couple of extensions but under the parameters of her admittance (rehab) she has plateaued and can no longer stay. The good news is that they'll remain in Fl. Since their winter home is in Englewood, just south of Venice, it will be convenient for Dad to visit her. It will again be 2 hours from here. I've gotten used to them being closeby and Dad staying here-but-that can't last forever, either.
Anyway, all of you who are cruising this weekend-have a great time-and those of you anticipating scheduled cruises, may your countdown clock go faster, and to all of you just dreaming of a cruise......"dream along with me...." Ours isn't until the day after Thanksgiving, so, it's not real yet!
Take care. Now currently 81 degrees in Avon Park, FL at 7:22PM!
