Default Smoking room :P

The only room available at the hotel I wanted that was within my per diem is a smoking room! Yuck. I'm hoping it won't reek too badly (after all, cruise ship rooms never seem to) but if it does, anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of a smoke smell in the room? Any febreeze or air freshener recommendations?

Michelle P.

get one of those OUST fans, they come in different scents & they make one called Odor Neutralizer. I used on cousins house when I had it for sale & it made a big difference.... good luck... I would hate it also ! I probably wouldnt be able to hack it with my asthma.

Take Care,

if your room smells stale, open the slider and let it air out.

Citrus based sprays seem to work the best on smoke smells. There is a great product on the market called Citrus Magic, works better than all the others combined.

We use a product on our boat called Smells Be Gone. I've seen it sold at Target and other places. It works great. Its in a little container that you just peel the top off of. No mess or fuss.

Hi Michelle.....

Most hotels have an ozone machine that can take the smells out. You can always ask them if they have one. If you are going the air freshener route, I would try Ozeum (sp?), you can get it at Walmart near the car fresheners.

Good Luck!

Go to your local auto parts store and ask for a product called Ozium. It works great to get rid of smoke smell in cars and rooms.

Take care,
