Baseball teams
What baseball team do you root for? Of course, I root for the Defending National League Champions--- Houston Astros!! I root for the Boston Red Sox in the American League.

I know Cheryl roots for the Red Sox also.

Luanne Russo April 8th, 2006 10:24 AM

Atlanta Braves.

Lombard April 8th, 2006 10:24 AM

"Black Sox"..... oh wait that's softball, D@MN!! LOL

rollerdonna April 8th, 2006 10:44 AM

I am not a baseball fan, but I did support my home team, the Montreal Expos. But they have been sold to the Washington Senators, so that's the end of that era.....

Lynne&Trevor April 8th, 2006 11:34 AM

My boys and I were fans of the Cincinnati Reds when we moved to Dayton OH in 1979. We even went to a few games while there. Now Jamie is grown and his team is the Chicago Cubs--big time--and back up team is the Atlanta Braves.
Trevor and I still watch Cincinnati, but will watch any interesting looking games.

wiscguy2 April 8th, 2006 11:38 AM

Milwaukee Brewers.... still undefeated so far this season!!!

Could this be our year???????

Sea Trekker April 8th, 2006 12:19 PM

Our team here; the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. But, alass they can't win.
Poor guys
I like the cinni Reds or Boston.
Any way, don't follow baseball very much (too slow) I like football.

Tide Pride April 8th, 2006 12:19 PM

America's team ........ ATLANTA BRAVES !!

Landlubber April 8th, 2006 12:39 PM

Canada's team, for better or worse. Toronto Blue Jays 8)

Kuki April 8th, 2006 12:43 PM

I'm a big fan of the National League. Have been involved in National League "rotisserie baseball league" for 12 years, and Tues night is this year's draft.

Once I finish the draft, and see which players I end up I'll let you know which team I'm cheering for most this year LOL

I'm carrying over a couple of "big" Philadephia players, so right now I'm kind of on the Phillie bandwagon... but they're not off to a great start.

Will April 8th, 2006 01:00 PM

Bobby Cox, and OUR ATLANTA BRAVES........Our South...Your South

Will April 8th, 2006 01:19 PM

Oh,and John Schuehotz...We Love You Man :D

mehawk April 8th, 2006 01:56 PM

Kuki, I have a fantasy team also. The draft was held this past week and I did not get any good position players. My pitchers will blank you though! I have Oswalt, Johnson, Zambrano, Willis, Pettite and Hoffman. One year I lost only 2 games the entire year. That was the year of 2001 when the disaster hit N.Y. :x I lost a game that week and the week that baseball resumed.

Ewokdude April 8th, 2006 02:22 PM

I gotta go for the ANGELS.. Only 20 minute drive for me to get to the stadium.

I have a fantasy also. Its a smaller league with friends from my school so we all have really good players. I have Ichiro, A-Rod, Matsui, and Oswalt.

Lisa April 8th, 2006 04:10 PM

Like's gotta be the Milwaukee Brewers!

Trip April 8th, 2006 05:56 PM

If you live in Boston, and are not a Red Sox fan, you will have to move...
My daughter just named her cat Fenway!, and my dog is named Remy!

merryheart April 8th, 2006 07:08 PM

Cincinnati Reds, of course!

Marguerite April 8th, 2006 08:22 PM

Ok, you can all kill me now!!! I am a diehard Yankee fan!!!!!! Would never cheer for Boston even tho they are American league!!! My cousin was a National league Umpire but could never give up on my Yanks!!!!

fasteddie April 8th, 2006 09:50 PM

The Mets!

VTJen April 8th, 2006 09:54 PM

Huge Red Sox Fan. Root for only the Red Sox. Though I do keep tabs on lots of former Red Sox players, at least those that don't go over to the Yankees.

I sorta set up a Red Sox Shrine in my living room during the season. I also wear something Red Sox during each of the games I watch (which is just about everyone). My entire family are Sox Fans - so when we get together it gets wild. Lots of our gift to each other revolve around the Sox. We all go different ways during football season - but during the baseball season...our hearts all point to Fenway.

Lisa April 9th, 2006 02:16 AM

WHOOO HOOOOO!!!!! The Milwaukee Brewers are now 5 - 0 and the ONLY undefeated team in the NL!!!!!! The next generation has arrived........get ready to learn the names JJ Hardy, Prince Fielder, Bill Hall, Brady Clark, Derek Turnbow, Chris Capuano and Dave Bush along with veterans Geoff Jenkins, Carlos Lee, Ben Sheets, Cory Koske, etc.

As Michael stated---

Like VTJen, my house is Red Sox filled as is my wardrobe. The front license plate of my car is a RED SOX plate. I wear a Red Sox Nation bracelet all year. The cash office at WalMart is even heavily displayed with Red Sox stuff. (they know better than to touch it  )

Travelbugbitten April 9th, 2006 11:26 AM

The Phillies, for whom I've had the Sunday season ticket plan since 1993.

I'd like to see them win a game that counts, though.

mehawk April 9th, 2006 11:48 AM

All you Phillies fans, I recall a game late last year, the 'Stros were playing the Phillies and my "good guys" were up to bat facing former closer Billy W. (man I hated that we traded him). The good guys were behind and Biggio lights up Wags and the announcer went bonkers. He says, "Oh no. Oh no. You have GOT to be kidding me. 3 run homerun, Craig Biggio. Houston leads..." The radio stations her played that for weeks. It was pretty cool. LOL

rgo6185 April 9th, 2006 07:06 PM

The Boston Red Sox![/b]

Theta April 9th, 2006 07:16 PM

RED SOX!!!!!!!! all the way.
