If others are like me they're always looking for something new (and inexpensive) to serve for dinner that the kids will like. Here's one I tried and my kids loved it. Just serve with a salad. It would also be good for a pot luck dinner.
Pasta Pizza
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 lb medium noodles cooked al dente (I used ziti)
1/2 cup pepperoni cut into fine strips
1 cup tomato sauce
1tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
1/4 cup romano cheese, grated
1/4 tsp crushed chili pepper
1 red or green pepper cut into strips
1/2 cup black olives, sliced
6 green onions finely sliced
3 italian tomatoes, diced
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
In an oiled oven proof dish mix together pasta, pepperoni, sauce, herbs and romano cheese. Cover with chili pepper, red/green pepper, olives, green onions and tomatoes. Arrange mozzerella cheese on top and cook in a preheated oven at 400° for 30-35 minutes until cheese is golden in color.
I made it the night before as a quick dish for the next night and just put it in the fridge. I had the kids take it out at about 4:00 to bring it to room temperature and DH put it in the oven at 5:00. It came out great.

Breakfast Pizza
1 pkg crescent rolls
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
4-5 eggs
1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp salt
2 T Parmesan cheese
1 lb sausage
1 cup frozen hash browns or 4 boiled potatoes diced
1/4 cup milk
Directions:
Pat crescent rolls on an ungreased pizza pan
Brown and drain sausage ( you can use other meats)
Sprinkle sausage, potatoes, and shredded cheddar cheese on the crust.
Beat eggs, milk, salt & pepper together.
Dribble mixture around pizza starting in the center.
Try not to get too close to the edge.
Sprinkle on parmesan cheese over all.
Bake @ 375 degrees for 25-30 minutes
Just a couple of thoughts....If you are using a pizza pan with holes, make sure that you have the crescent rolls pressed well together.
I used a bit more cheese than it called for. Havent tried it yet, but think that adding a bit of grated onion and tomato might be good also. Enjoy!

Wow what a great idea for a thread. Lets keep this going if we can. As a cook I have a million ideas. I just need to cut them down to fit a family tather than a school for 50. Anyone else??
Bunch of friends and I email each other once a week with different emails, got this one last week, thought it sounded fun for a weekday meal.
Tater Topped Casserole
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Spray 2 qt casserole with Pam.
Brown 1/2 cup chopped onion, 1/3 cup sliced celery & 1 lb ground beef. Add salt & pepper. Spread in baking dish; pour over 1 can cream of mushroom soup. Top with a layer of Tater Tots (16 oz). Bake 45 minutes.
That is the basic recipe. I add mushrooms sometimes and a layer of shredded cheese between the soup and Tater Tots. Yum!

Here's another....
I once had this soup at the Olive Garden. I knew I could figure it out to make at home..I did a good job I don't really do amounts, but I tried
2 cans large chicken broth
1 lg can, 1 sm can, small white beans..goya i think...
sweet sausage meat sauted
spinach
scallions/celery/carrots
1 med potato
bacon is optional [fry, and chop small if you use bacon]
2 tubes of white bean soup mix
garlic salt/italion seasoning/salt and pepper to taste
1/2 and 1/2 i use almost the whole pint
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fill a dutch oven with the broth, and add water to make desired amount of soup
add: carrots /celery, chopped small, soup mixes, beans, spices, and sausage.
I saute the spinach in a little water and garlic salt and reduce/ add to soup
Turn on med flame and cook until soup mix is softened through, at the last cooking stage, add the potato, cut in small pieces..don't overcook them then add the half and half...voila, its soup....
This recipe gets raves..it also makes a large portion, I gave a large bowl to my son. and had lots to spare... you MAY need to add a little liquid upon reheating...
I have a great Pizza!!! It's from this pizzeria out here in Buffalo so I'm not sure on the amounts/measurements but it's not hard to figure out what you'll need and how big
Chicken Ranch Pizza
Spread dough with melted butter and olive oil. Sprinkle 3 cloves of garlic minced on top. Then spread about 1/4 cup Ranch Salad dressing on top of this mixture. Layer shredded Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese on top, cooked chicken breast, roasted red peppers chopped thin, and crumbled bacon. Sprinkle oregano and basil on top and bake!
It's so yummy!!!! Like I said, I wish I had the actual recipe but I made it once on my own and it was yummy.
To make it easier on the first 3 ingredients, you can also combine melted butter, olive oil and a package of dried ranch dressing mix.
Trip, that sounds really good; our made up concoction is kielbasa sauted (sliced) Two cans of chicken broth, mushrooms, spinach, 2 cans of beans (black eyed, chick peas, kidney beans or canelloni) and Uncle Ben's wild rice.
Chicken in foil: piece of boneless chicken, sliced raw potato, onion and green pepper sliced. Pour canned diced tomatoes over it with some juice;
sprinkle with vegetable supreme. Pinch foil and cook about 50 minutes @ 350.
