Default 12/30 Century Itinerary Change - maybe we can reverse!

Thought I'd just check out about the back-to-back with the 2 day cruise January 4 to see if it's still going to Nassau by calling Celebrity. Got Customer Service 1-800-280-3423 and voiced my complaint about going to Nassau twice in 7 days. Was told that was the "powers that be" but I could contact the Group department and voice my complaint (I was transferred to that department). Said I was one of 160 people going on the 12/30 cruise. The representative said she'd pass on the complaint to the "powers that be".

Just thought that if enough of us do this - maybe they'll switch it back to Key
West ... or maybe make the 2 day cruise go to Key West instead of Nassau.

How about giving it a try everyone???

It might actually be a problem with Key West not wanting the ship. Sometimes that happens also.

The Century was one of FIVE ships scheduled for Key West on New Year's Eve Day (according to cruisecal.com)....and we were going to be tendered in. If this is the case, I would not want to be in Key West with 4 other ships....way tooo overcrowded!

I was also very disappointed at the switch but think that being in KeyWest the same time as all the other ships wouldn't be very relaxing.
Rollerdonna, I know you were looking forward to KeyWest for Margaritaville.....we have one in Orlando....maybe you could book a cruise out of Port Canaveral and do a pre or post Orlando stay?

I'm extremely disappointed at the switch. I love Key West and am getting a bit tired of Nassau. Twice in one week will be a bit much. Maybe we'll just stay on the ship the second time.

Cheers,
Michelle P.

I'm disapointed to that we will not stop in Key West.
Maybe I'll stay on the ship in protest.
We could drive but that is a 6 hour trip from here.
make the best of it folks.

I am very disappointed at not going to Key West.

The number of ships in port is not a good excuse to eliminate Key West. There's going to be a lot of ships in port no matter where you go. Nassau will be crowded as well, and anyway, twice in one cruise is too much.

I will definitely call Celebrity! Putting it in writing wouldn't hurt, either.

I prefer Key West to Nassau as well, but honestly I think the people are what's going to make this cruise special, not the ports of call.

I think the ship could take us to prison and we'd still have a GREAT time!

Kuki I disagree with the above statement from you. If this would be the case why don't you just stay on the ship and not cruise anywhere?

I know RD wanted to see Key West considering she is from Canada and can't just go to KW whenever she wants to go. I think its a rotten thing to do from the cruise line and without any apparent reason.

I'd say the "apparent reason" seems to be that Key West happens to be "heavy" with ship's that day, and the Century was scheduled to have to tender. As Century is going to be new to these 4 and 5 day itineraries, she likely doesn't have any "seniority" for docking rights.

With Caymen being a tender port for everyone, that would mean both ports of call would require tendering (which would also be a pain).

I'd actually love to see some 5 or even 7 day cruises to nowhere --- ALL sea days. Unfortunately the law doesn't allow for that to happen.

If you call Celebrity, you might get them to change the 2 day to Key West rather than Nassau. Give it a try. I've been on many cruises with multiple ships in port (as I'm sure most of you have) - I've also tendered more than once on a cruise.

Please call them - it can't hurt.
