I've copied your list, Luanne, and I can assure you that the WalMart Superstore over on State Road 50 will never again be the same!

Ya' know, my husband is such a prankster I've GOT to make sure he doesn't see this list!

DOES YOUR HUBBY DO THIS?

I received this in an e-mail from a friend last week. The fun part for me was, I am a department manager in our local WAL-MART Supercenter and can visualize some of those things really happening. In fact, a couple of them came close.

Deja Vu????

I wonder how many threads this is posted in?

:D

Luanne Russo August 9th, 2006 11:22 PM

Well, Good evening Marc. You know when I posted this, I thought of you, because this has been on the Internet joke trail for several years. I posted it, so that those who had not seen it, could enjoy, but I always knew you were out there. LOL Reminds me of the movie Jaws. Just when you think you are safe. It almost slipped by you.

Several people saw it, and a few took the time to say they enjoyed it. I didn't think it hurt anyone.

Hope you and your wife are well.

Luanne

Luanne, you have it exactly backwards. You posted this a while back and I loved it. I copied it and forwarded it to friends. I just saw someone else post it again.

Marc when do you move to Tokyo? Can't come soon enough for me!!!!!

Luanne Russo August 9th, 2006 11:35 PM

I understand, but I didn't want to tell someone it had been posted before, because I didn't want to hurt their feelings.

let me ask you something. I don't have a subscription to a cruise magazine, but would like to receive at least one. Would you recommend one of your favorites?

Thanks

Luanne

Luanne:

I subscribe to Cruise Travel and read Porthole in the bookstore. I had become disappointed with Cruise Travel as there hasn't been much substance and very little "critical" reporting. However, the last issue was wonderful. It is a good value and would recommend if only for the ship information and the letters.

Porthole has always seemed to be fluff and advertising. It is expensive; that is why I usually try to read it for free in the bookstore. They do have some great articles about port visits and usually have better researched articles than Cruise Travel. Still, I think Cruise Travel is a better value and more enjoyable reading.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Marc.

I agree with Marc. CruiseTravel is the better of the two magazines. One of my favorite days is when it shows up in the mailbox. I go fix a drink, fill the bathtub and read it cover to cover. Which, unfortunately doesn't seem to take as long as it used to. I think the quality of the magazine has decreased a bit over the last year but I really enjoy it all the same.
I booked a cruise with VacationsToGo (can I say that?) and now they send it to me free!
