Default Lost, But NOT, Forgotten!

Have the airlines ever really lost your luggage? Not for a few days, but GONZO! How was it handled, and were you ok with your compensation? What was lost, other than your clothing?

I think we all need a road trip, down to Alabama, to visit the land of lost luggage..The bargains are amazing! What I find hard to believe, is with all the warnings that abound about what not to pack in check in luggage, what you can find in this store, that the public, has sent on through!

How about a gigantic emerald & diamond ring, & jewelry to die for...cameras galore, and assorted gigantic items, that defy logic.

Every day there are racks of stuff brought out to be drooled over. Some things get the head shake..like, what were they thinking!

So have you ever visited this store? What did you buy? If you go, call me. my bags will be packed, with only the right stuff inside

I haven't had my lost, but my best friend had her luggage lost when coming back to the US from France. Unfortunately, she had agreed to bring a whole bunch of art back with her (she is a curator) and it was in her luggage (along with some clothes she borrowed from yours truly, but I digress...)

They never did find it, and she was really bent out of shape about the compensation they offered. She took them to court. She won some kind of settlement, but I don't know how it compared to the actual value of the items lost.

Trip,
Dave and I saw the same story about the land o lost luggage and looked at each other and said "road trip!". We were also amazed at some of the lost stuff.

Sounds like a theme park to me.....

Maybe Six Flags should develop a concept here????

Looks like a very interesting place to visit! I'm now on their mailing list, and maybe the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I can get by there someday!
Thanks for the info.
