Default Duck, duck, goose crossing

Hi,
I have to stop this time of year for Canadian geese standing in the road and taking their sweet old time to cross with the gosslings.
A guys goats get out sometimes on the same spot. That is a sight to cause a double take. Thay are white and brown and look like dogs at first glance.

What kind of things stop traffic in your area?

Karen

The city of Lakeland, Florida is known for its swans,,,they are all over the place, and especially in and around the many lakes near downtown. Needless to say, they stop traffic when they see fit to cross the road.
I used to see an occasional alligator cross the road and stop traffic, but haven't for a few years now.
BIG turtles will cross the road, and stop traffic.

See you aboard,
Ken

Funny your should mention geese in this topic Karen.

My team leader at work is off geese and swan hunting this weekend.

I personally hate the idea of guns, but each to his/her own???

Here in Florida it's the deer, bear, and possums. they end up road kill.
In the city we have many lakes so it's the ducks and ducklings that stop traffic. some times a gator will get up on the banks, but the city has fencing around thoes lakes and people will just stop and look over the fence, which can cause a few fender benders.
