Redzone,

I was just wondering why you book your cruises soooo for in advance? We have 4 booked right now, but they are all in the Fall. We book in the Fall because the prices are more reasonable then. We have only booked one cruise in the summer. I really miss cruising during the six month period that we don't cruise.

We are retired, so we can book last minute cruises if we find a good deal.

I work for a non profit org. and most of the time I am too valuable to leave during hurricane season. So I plan around that, I have alot of leave time to use as well as the deals I get when I book in the future. We do have other trips booked for the fall but they are not cruises. I also try to book when Children are in school. Did I answer your Question?

Hiya Tim,

I wondered why nobody was posting. I've been working on trying to get another cruise booked in Feb. I just got back from vacation but on the cruise ship is a REAL vacation. Congrats on your birthday. Getting a little older is better then the alternative. Welcome to the 40+ club. We're not older.. we're seasoned. hahaha

Ahhh I see the gangs all back! Is summer over now? I'll tell you right now NOOOOOOO!!!! Just came in from NY last night enjoyed a lovely summer day with a heat index of 109 degrees! I'm so glad I am back in cool florida! Had a great time although I did wish it was a cruise I was on instead!

So now that I am back I need to go through some of the posts and see what you nuts have been up to. Just got a call from my sis and she said she booked her first cruise on the glory in march so I hooked her up with this site so we'll see if she pops in here on us!

Hey REDZONE did you book another cruise??? Are you ever actually going to take one HAHAHA!

Well if you must know rescue, I work for a well known non profit orginization and hurricane season is our busy season. My WIFEis a high ranking nuke supervisor at a local shipyard. There is no DH or what ever I said. That was too many Corona's and not enough food, let alone not proof reading my post. I do walk the straight and narrow. I do build websites for local dance studios. I do this as a trade off for free dance lessons. ( very enjoyable thing to do as a couple, in fact we are quite good ) We show off on cruises. All websites I build have a website built by the Dancedoctor icon which has a link to my site enclosed, (that is a name that I was stuck with). This site promotes my side buisnesses as well as other things that benefit myself. Unlike you I am not wealthy by no means. Did This Answer your questions? I sure hope so my wife don't drill me this much .

Did one of those cruises to nowhere about 10 years ago and found out all the passengers disappear into the casino. Have a feeling this is why I never thought of cruising as a good idea until now.

Thank you hockeyluver. Its good to be back. Its actually been a real good boating year this year. The weekends have been clear for being on the water and I've been doing a lot of swimming. Yes.. I agree. The gas prices are horrible which is why I had to cut my vacation from two weeks to one week. It really would have been cheaper to take a cruise then vacationing on my own boat.

I wondered what people did on those cruises to no where in the winter. I figured they were for romantic getaways where people only leave the cabin for food. I didn't even think of the gambling.

Romantic getaway???? Let me tell you. as soon as the boat hit international waters my wife and I could have stripped naked and did it right on the the deck thats how dead it got. But that is only when the show begins cause once the boat starts coming back in the buffett opens! Now thats a sight! Pushing, shoving, arguing. you would think people never saw food before! This was the avg person on that cruise.. Chain smoking, 275lbs, wearing mismatched dirty food stained clothes, most needed canes or walkers cause they couldn't hold their own weight up anymore but were like the roadrunner heading for the buffett. half needed to carry their own oxygen supply. Basically......a Wakmart shopper!!!
