STOP IT! STOP IT! You two have me rolling on the floor laughing. It's like a comedy routine.
By the way, I believe redzone is correct.......you do seem a little happier since your trip to Walmart.

I just love a good laugh first thing in the morning.

Your right. He does seem happier since his visit to WalMart.

rescuedad - Your permanently tainted. Ever since you sat in the lawn chair on the beer isle with your six pack.... you have become ONE OF THEM. HAHAHAHAHA

Full of inbreeds.... wait a minute Hmmmm I hear when a brother and a sister produce a child the child gets the name of both parents let's see Bobby and Jean, amy and joe, Billy and Jean hmmmmm! uh oh!!.....Lou and ann!!!! OK things are becoming clearer now!!

Criscomia and Luanne posting at 5:43 am!! wow most people are still sleeping at that time! I guess someone has to get up to slop the hogs and gather the eggs!

I think I found just the right ones.

Roasted Sassafras Possum

1 skinned and dressed possum cut-up
3 cups sliced carrots
6 cups onions, quartered
6 cups potatoes, quartered
1 clove garlic minced
1 can cream of mushroom or celery soup
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 cups water
salt and pepper

Note: Ramps can be substituted for onions.

Brown possum in a little grease in a ovenproof iron pot then remove pieces. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot. Arrange possum artfully on top. Bake covered at 350 degrees F for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Please note there is no sassafras in the recipe; it gets its name because in Sassafras, Mason County, ;where I grew up, this is considered an ethnic food.

Some hillbillies use to gnaw on sassafras roots all winter and lived to be 100 but now they claim it ain't good for you.

Coon Hound Possum Gravy

1 fat possum cut-up
cooking oil or grease
flour
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 onion, chopped and sauteed
1/2 cup sherry or home-made wine
pinch of oregano
pinch of rosemary
salt and pepper to taste

Fry possum in large pan or Dutch oven. Fish out possum pieces and feed meat to hound-dog (don't feed him the bones as he might get choked). Add water and stir up crunchies. Thicken with flour and water. Mix remaining ingredients and add to pan. Simmer for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Serve gravy over biscuits.

Making good gravy suitable for biscuits that you would be proud to serve your man requires years of practice and apprenticeship under your momma. If you are having trouble with the flour and water thing and your momma is up the river--ask your granny. Don't kick your hound if it doesn't turn out right the first time.

You know what Rescue, Walmart is always hiring, You could work there part time and get an employee discount on those slacks you need for the cruise. I would almost bet you would feel right at home there. Think about it.

Chewed on roots??? With what teeth? I KNEW you had family recipes lol! It's all coming out now HAHAHAHA. Hey REDZONE why dont you do something with your day like book a cruise? you haven't done that in a while . criscomia either start adding to the hilarity or start paying admission to this board. Slacks?? what an old fart word! I am not old!! I was born in 62' the year doctors were handing out Thalidolmide to pregnant mothers so walmart would have future employees! They say they are going to start putting medical clinics in Walmart now. They have come full circle now!

Ok, I'll weigh in on this as well... Rescuedad, you said you will win the hairy chest contest and the bingo and casino action?? You have to have a hairy chest to win. You spent all of your wife's hard earned stash when you went to Walmart... which, by the way, is based in Arkansas, so it is the capital of the hillbillies. I do Target myself when I can't find our stuff at Dillard's.

Rescue I am glad you are a Paramedic and work at the hospital. By the way have you instructed the family on how to do the abdominal thrust, With someone at your age we want to make sure that when you Gum your food, it doesn't become a choking object.Did you get a discount when you booked your cruise? I would check into that.(You know senior citizen and all)

Okay, Let's not pick on my buddy to much. Yes, he did insult us all for using our neighborhood stores, he insulted our families, and he came across as arrogant, but....... okay, never mind. Who's next?

Actually Luanne, I was willing to stay out of the fray until he insulted the mother State... Texas!! I have been to Florida before and I'll return..... Oh, I just remembered, I haven't left anything there.

Everyone is just having fun here. No insults intended. It seems everyone is in the spirit for the most part.
Just remember... rescuedad needs an outlet for his pre-cruise fidigit so we let him rant about WalMart. hehehehehhe

Did I insult someone???

You mean texas kicked old sam walmart out? You didn't know a good thing when you had it! Now where does everyone work? I know what you can't do down there is keep the Mexicans from getting in our country! It's a good thing Texas isn't in charge of national security!

REDZONE where do you find time to post. it seems you spend your day booking cruises! will the next one say 1,576 days till I cruise!

I said that I would win everything cause looking at my rollcall I was the only one sailing on the Fascination in july. but since you brought it up Mehawk...... by looking at your pic my guess is your wearing a sweater under that tux! You must be wondering why when you win the hairy chest concert people start throwing bananas your way

I said I was born in 62' not 62years old you knuckleheads! keep launching your grenades at me i've got plenty of artillary waiting and 11 or so more days to dish it out! He He He. The more people who come on this thread and are not afraid to make a post, the better. That is a group I want on my cruise of the century!!

They can't kick Sam out. Doesn't he own most of Texas? At least thats what my relatives that live down there tell me. I work for a marketing company in the IT department sitting in a little tiny box. I use the internet to escape my box for a little bit.

I think mehawk looks very distinguished. Are they throwing coconuts at you? HAHAHA

Ohh.. Now that would be a fun cruise.. course they would have to set this group in a back corner since we would be making a ruckus.

Rescuedad I tried too book that cruise and it was full ,something to do with a walmart convention, heard you were going to be the speaker at the Captin's Party,"This is why I love Walmart". Don't worry I will make sure there is a "defibrillator " there. With your age and all I want to be prepared. Glad you have the penthouse your walker will fit through the doorways. I would be careful with the drinking, you can't forget about all your medications.

REDZONE, your new to this thread, so be aware of the immortal words of John Rambo "I'll give you a war you won't believe" and understand what your getting yourself into here! Your trying to moveup to the major leagues here in the 7th inning of the game being I only have 10 days till I cruise. If you are feeling aspirations of taking over this thread while I am gone your amateur posts must throw a little zing at all the thick skinned people who have posted here! If not this thread will die once I am gone? But, fear not I will reveive it with my portable defibrillator when I get back with all the new material I will have from my cruise! I sense there may be some talant there, it just needs to be cultured. If you let it die what will criscomia have to laugh about! she'll throw herslf off the ship! You won't have Luanne anymore cause she'll be cruising too. Criscomia will crawl into her shell! Take note that over 1900 walmart shoppers have viewed this thread! yet only a select few fun loving, carefree people have dared post on it. I am doing my best to draw them out, suck them in like I did you and unbelievably Mehawk! So that maybe someday all these fun people can book a cruise together! It may take some time but I can only imagine what a cruise full of people like me would be like!

I can't wait to hear all about it. I'm sure you will give us your HUMBLE review when you return...only like you can. Make sure you make me laugh......you know how I like that.

I'm sure he will report on the pieces of the cruise that he can remember.

Rescuedad - Please don't take big signs with you rating your fellow passengers... WalMart Not Walmart .. You will find out exactly how far it is from the Lido deck to the water surface. We want to hear your review.

REDZONE.... I am sooooo disappointed in you... I am booked on this cruise but I told Rescuedad that I worked for Bellsouth so he wouldn't know the truth about us Walmart employees being on the ship!!!

I promise ya all that I'll keep my eyes on him and report back..... This is going to be an interesting one... Rescuedad and all of us Walmart employees!!!!
