Today I found a photo from our first cruise in 1988 (or so) aboard the Britanis. The folder says Chandris Fantasy Cruises. I remembered the big X on the stacks and how everything was Xcellent or Xceptional, etc. We didn't get the cruise fever til 8 years later and in hindsight I had always thought Brittanis was a Celebrity ship.
Was Chandris bought/merged or something with Celebrity later?

My first cruise was on Britanis in 1985. Ship was built in the 30s but still a wonderful ship. Celebrity grew out of Chandris. However, I don't think they give us past passenger status.

Good news! Just got off the phone with the fine folks at Celebrity and after faxing them a copy of the official photo, they have recognized my cruise on the Brittanis and added it to my portfolio.
However, I don't think I have kept any momentos. I spent most of my time drinking and gambling on that cruise. Although I do have a nice Batik from San Blas Islands.
