Mornin' everybody,

TGIF!!!!! I went down the road to help my brother install a stove exhaust fan yesterday after work. Unfortunately, this brother is not too mechanically inclined, so I did 90% of the work. I need a weekend to rest up. After fighting with an "easy" project like that one, I decided on the whole house fan that I want to install. I had to make a decision whether to buy a fan that moves more air but is less expensive, or by one that costs 3 times as much, but involves no major carpentry work. I think I'm going to spend the extra money and go with the easier installation. Plus, this fan is controlled by remote control, and there is no man alive who doesn't like a remote control.

On another note, my other brother in the Binghamton area is lucky that the creek near his house did not overflow, so the water in his basement is just from ground seepage. The sump pump has been running constantly, but it's keeping up! He's a lot luckier than so many people who have lost everything. Our prayers go out to those people.

I've got a long weekend (don't have to go back to work 'till Wed!), so maybe I'll get to have some fun in between all of the work. I've got a graduation party tomorrow afternoon, so let the festivities begin!

For those who are traveling this weekend, please drive safely. The life you save just may be mine!

Have a great day and a fabulous weekend!

Ed

Good morning all. Hoping that the sun comes out today

Been very busy going to interviews. Most have been at banks but I have one coming up at Tufts Health Plan. This one has an edge over the other jobs though--I would be working at the same place as my dad. At three of the banks I have second interviews scheduled for today and next week. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Otherwise all is well in Massachusetts with us. My kids are doing fantastic in their summer school classes.

Hope everyone has a great and safe weekend.

Good Morning,

Still raining and pretty soggy here. DH got called in early today - lightening took out a lot of electricity during the night, and people were waking up to no power. At least he got a good nights sleep.

Yesterday was stressful. Back in Jan I told you how I suspected my friend of stealing $ from my house. Well, yesterday learned she scammed me yet again. This time I have proof, but I'm so angry I can't even confront her, as I'd probably end up in jail. The amount this time is pretty insignifcant, too little to call the police. (I had made an order for a stamping party that her niece was to have, I wrote the check, in April, never got my product, tho' I've asked her many times - she has lied repeatedly. The order was never placed, and she cashed my check. Got hold of the dealer and she confirmed that she has been calling and calling and the niece won't answer phone, that she had given her books and order blanks, but never got any back). Thankfully I didn't order as much as I ususally do. But now I have had it. It isn't even so much the stealing as the blantant lies to my face, over and over. I've caught her lying to other people too. I'm just done with her. It is sad, but my stress levels are at dangerous levels.

Not sure what I'll do today. Niece and I are trying to plan something fun. It might just be the trip to Walmart I put off yesterday. The afternoon was so nice I just wanted to be outside. Kids and I worked around the pool. One less thing for dh to do this morning.

Tomorrow we have another wedding, but it is in town so that will be easy.

Son had his Risk friends over last night. Love watching them interact. It is so funny. Tonight dd has a bunch coming over. Gotta get some groceries as we are running really low right now.

Hope today is a good day for you all,

Default Friday at Last!

Good morning from sunny Southern California.

My DH is giving the car a bath before temps get too hot. It's gym day, too. In a few hours, we will get some stuff together and head for Newport Beach our weekend wedding anniversary celebration.

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that the Ramsey Louis Trio will perform at our hotel's outdoor amplitheater on Saturday night. Remember "The In Crowd" song?

Have a safe weekend, all.

Judy

Good morning from swfl...Trip it's so good to hear you talk about my grandson Aiden

VTJen all i can say is dump the friend and maybe calling the police is in order. If she cashed a check this is a crime. Sometimes people like that need a wake up call to stop. If she is not confronted she will not likly stop with this. I am sorry you got hurt in the middle..people can be so suck.

We have had difficult times with teenage daughter and on top of that we had a $1330 charge on our bank account that wasn't authorized. We have been dealing with this for 3 days now, today the charge was reversed but we still need to do damage controll. Thankfully nothing bounced, our bank was nice enough to push everything through<our mortgage payment, car payment etc> but charged us over $330 that we are now recovering today back from the bank. It wasn't our fault and it is amazing that people just can charge anything to your bank account.

In 1 week we are going on vacation and I don't feel like going. I told my dh but no one is listening to me. On Monday is Aidens 2 birthday and on tuesday is my birthday <I will be a bit older > My dh is working on monday, no long weekend approved by the company. Can't take the day off either because of our trip in 1 week plus us going to Kenya in October. Oh well.

Take care mates

Good morning mates from WC AR. Clear and warm today with a high of 94 predicted.

4th of July weekend will be quiet for us. Will probably BBQ something good and that means install the propane tank on the BBQ. It will be the first time cooking BBQ style since moving to AR.

Tomorrow will be our 5lst Anniversary and plan to go out for a nice dinner here in the Village.

Not much going on today except going to the bank and Walgreens to pick up an Rx for myself. DW has a hair appointment this AM.

Everyone have a safe and sane 4th of July weekend.

Good Morning cruisemates! Pleasant weather in the 70s F for Calgary today. Stuff (and staff) for the Calgary Stampede seems to be falling into place. Won't know for sure until we open the doors to the bar next Friday.

The big beer order will be going in today.... so come on up for a Molson's Canadian

I'm working only a half day today, and then heading to the golf course in the afternoon.

As usual, a hot day here in north Texas. No real plans other than to stay inside where it is cool and read more of the cruise bulletin boards. I'm still trying to decide what to take on our trip in December plus trying to get a stash of new books to take so seeing what others here are reading. If dh gets home early enough from his volunteer job we may run over to the Indian Casino in Oklahoma for a "practice" trip before our trip in 2 weeks to Tunica,MS!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend -especially those of you lucky enough to get a 4 day weekend due to July 4th being on Tuesday! Stay safe!! 8)

Marcia

Good morning everyone.

It will be a busy weekend. My sister will be coming in tonight and we have my niece's graduation party tomorrow and then we are all going up north, launch fishing, on Sunday. After that Betty is off for two weeks. We will be leaving on the 5th for a week near the North Shore of Lake Superior. The family will join us for a few days. It will be fun.

I plan on doing some rock climbing. Betty has increased the insurance in preparation.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day and wonderful weekend.

Take care,
Mike
