I am Marcia, dh is John (Jack). We've been married 50 years. Dh was in AF, but is now retired. which is how we ended up in Wichita Falls, TX over 40 years ago, after growing up in Ohio, and are still here. We raised 3 daughters and 1 son (who is now retired from the Navy -makes me feel reallly old ).
We are not big on travel since we don't like to drive very far but discovered casino flights from our local airport so go on those several times a year. When the radio station that we listen to offered a cruise from here and would take us to Galveston and put us on the ship it was too good to pass up so here we come for our first ever cruise!
We lived in the country for almost 40 years and raised horses but now live in town with our very spoiled Mini Schnauzer.
We are Judy and Keith. We have been married 33 years, live in Southern California in the same house for 33 years. My DH is a retired mechanical engineer and I worked in retailing as an executive secretary.
We have been owned by a long line of cats (none at present), done lots of land trips, seen plenty of other countries, and will have enjoyed 15 cruises when the Cruise of the Century FINALLY happens in December!
I found this wonderful site about three years ago. Two years ago, m DH nearly died, and the lovely people here comforted and encouraged me. It took almost two years for him to recover. I still thank the people here and thank the Lord, too.
I'm Doug, the cute one is my wife Marj. We live in Marmora NJ at the Jersey Shore and were married 5 years in April. We will be renewing our vows on board the Caribbean Princess shortly. I work for EPA in NYC and Marj is a customer service manager for an appliance store. Marj is the mother of 4 lovely daughters whom I am very proud of unless they mess up, in which case I can claim no genetic connection.

We have another cruise planned for next year. I'm getting as many family members as I can to start sailing with us.
What a great time we have cruising.
I'm Mary Lou from Pittsburgh, PA and have been married to my wonderful hubby, Gary for 30 years. Gary is a machining supervisor and I have been an accounting manager/office manager for a scaffold company for the last 18 years. We have two grown children; Jackie (28) is married and lives in WV and Matthew (25) lives right next door. We are empty-nesters except for our 10 year old German Shepard, Sadie. Cruising is my passion and I have been fortunate enough to work for Cruisemates for the last few years.

I'm Norm, and my wife of 42 years is Judy. I worked for a major computer company for 29 years, then got downsized (what a crappy word), and managed the golf course behind our house for 5 years. Gave that up since I didn't like working 60 hours a week in a part-time job.
We have two grown daughters, and we welcomed our first grandchild about 18 months ago. I used to roll my eyes every time someone talked about their grandchildren, and now I have to restrain myself from stopping people on the street and showing them pictures.
We've been on 20 cruises so far, and have 4 booked for this year and next. Looking into 2008 cruises already. Hey, someone has to keep the economy moving along!

I am Jeff, my wife Mary and I have been married for 21 years this month!
I am the pastoral associate at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, in Norman Oklahoma. My wife works for a home health organization. We both returned to school this year to work on a masters in counseling psychology.
We usually cruise twice a year with either family or friends.
I am Becky from Ohio. Widowed and have 2 grown children. DS (27) and DD (24). Both married. I work for the schools (love those vacations!) and just found out today I have a new job! Finally out of severe -behavior! Have cruised 14 times and just got back from my first Windjammer. Am taking kids and spouses on Fantasy 8/14.
Hello; I'm Ken, and the lovely Mrs. Jones is Vita. We reside in beautiful Lakeland, Florida, close to five ports. We have two grown daughters, and two grandsons. We're both computer engineers. Vita got downsized (there's that word again) a few years ago, and hasn't returned to the job force. I have been working for the same major company for 29 years out of the 41 I've been in this field. We have something over 100 cruises under our belts, and cruise 3 or 4 times a year. Currently we have 5 booked, and can't wait for the next one. (Carnival Glory)
See you aboard,
I am Betty, dh is Ron. I have two daughters, dh has one son. Together, we have 5 grandchildren and two cats that let us live here. We have cruised once or twice a year since 1992. Ron is a retired banker and I work part-time caring for seniors in their homes. This is the first year I have had time to do whatever I want, but I seem to be busier that ever. Happy cruising, everyone!
I'm Lynne (soon to be 60) and Hubby, Trevor, will be 67 at the end of September. We live in Avon Park, Florida--Central area-our home for the last almost 10 years. Trevor is retired from the Postal Service (T-6-Inside) and has held some part-time positions since retirement. He used to work where I am now. He found this job for me as an Activities Associate at the same local retirement community where I have been working for the last 7 1/2 years. I now can recite every number on the Bingo card under the appropriate letter. Assisted Living Activities is my main responsibility.
We are coming up to our seventh cruise-but after Saturday's gathering with fellow Cruisemates,we keep thinking of trying to slip in a quickie cruise before our scheduled cruise November 24.
Oh, Trevor and I have been married for 16 years. He has 4 grown children and approximately 13 grandchildren if all from different relationships his children have had are counted. I have two grown sons who will be 35 and 37 in August. Jamie, the Elder, works for Verizon in Columbus, OH and Kenneth, the Younger, is a Staff Director for MSNBC in New Jersey.
That about covers it--except that I was born in Montreal Canada!

I sail The Crown Princess to The Southern Caribbean.
I'm Susie, perpetually single. I live near Waukegan in NE Illinois about 2 mis. from Lake Michigan and you'll always hear (read) me talking about the weather. I love all types of weather!
I worked for VW for 33 yrs., took early retirement at 55 in 2002, now I work for Manpower at Abbott Labs to help my cruise fund. I think I'll do the Manpower thing 5 or 6 more yrs. as I don't mind working at Abbott.
1982 was my first cruise, 19 and number 20 is the Cruise of the Century. Only one for '06 as I'm working on my "dream cruise" list and next year is a biggie. B2B's in the Med on the Royal Princess for 24 days. I've cruised the Caribbean now I want the money I save to go for places I haven't been. 2008 I'm thinking South America, maybe or back to New England and 2009 for South America. I'm always thinking long range!
I'm Angela and Dave and I have been married for almost 24 years and have lived here in Orlando since 1979. We have two kids, daughter is almost 20 and goes to school at Univ. of North Florida in Jax, and son is 17 and getting ready to start senior year which I'm sure will fly by.
We've been on cruises to the Bahamas, Western Carribbean, Alaska, Scandinavia and the Mississippi River from New Orleans to Natchez....a long time ago for that one.
I agree with Judy about all the nice people at this site and we're looking forward to meeting lots of them in December.
Hi from Canada, or at least Montreal, from Me, Donna, and hubby James.
We have been married almost 5 years, both previously divorced with 2 kids each. His are on their own, mine are 1 teen at home, 1 22 yr. old on her own. Both will be joining us on the Cruise of the Century in Dec. Can't wait to meet all my firends here at CruiseMates!

I'm Ed, and my DW Marybeth live in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. I'm an electrician for a Fortune 500 company here in Corning, NY and DW is in the purchasing dept. of a nearby hospital. We've been married for almost 22 years, 21 of those being season ticket holders for the Buffalo Bills.
We don't have any kids, so we can afford to cruise, this upcoming one being #11. We are also owned by two gray tabbies named Scooter and Skeeter.
I'm Jen and am 43 years old, married to Gary (soon to be 46) for almost 22 years (Sept.). We have two children - the youngest will now start college, so in about a month we will be empty nesters. I'm having a difficult time with this.
I work in my church and handle all the finacial/secretarial duties. DH is a lineman for the local electric utility. I also have a mini poodle, named Jonah, who is spoiled and obnoxious to everyone but me.
I have cruised twice, and plan more, once college bills thin down a little (hopefully dd only has two more years). Lots of land travel, and have some more of those planned as well. Trying to see the things we are interested in that are near by, or on the way too and from college, while budget is squeezed.
We live in northern Vermont, less than 10 miles from the Canadian Border. The part of Vermont we live in is referred to as the Northeast Kingdom, tho' if you are from here you just say you are from the Kingdom. As of late it is still pretty unspoiled - still no box store for at least 70 miles, or 65 if you cross over into New Hampshire. It has been a great place to raise kids. A nice place to live, tho' I have a hard time with the long cold winters.
Hi I'm Mike. I have a wonderful wife Betty, two grown kids and two wonderful grandkids, plus Kramer the six million dollar dog. I'm the Community Leader here at Cruisemates. Fancy words for moderator and sweeping the floors.
I live in Minnesota and love to cruise. I've been around the site for over six years and I have been cruising for almost the same amount of time.
I encourage anyone who hasn't posted yet to do so. DON'T BE AFRAID! Join in and ask questions. Even the "old timers" were new once.

I'm Scott, 39 year old, and my wife is Renee(her age withheld under threat of bodily harm). This October will be our 4 year anniversary. I'm a firefighter/paramedic in my full time job and a hockey referee in my part time job. My wife is a marketing manager for GE medical. We live in the western suburbs of Chicago in a nice home with a pool. No children yet, but we have a houseful with 2 dogs, 2 parrots, and 3 cats. I'm also a private pilot and am part owner in a Piper Arrow II airplane with some pilot friends.
We love to travel, we either get in the plane for a weekend trip to Wisconsin or get on a cruise ship! Both of us took our first cruise on our honeymoon in '03, and fell in love with cruising. So far we have cruised once a year in October, but starting next year we will be upping that to 2 cruises a year!
